Liping Township is named after many pear trees in Shangjiaba, Lijiaba and Houjiaba. Rural roads in China are connected to the ferry on Bailong River, to National Highway 2 12, and to Jiuyuan Village via Lengbaozi. Ba Long River is one of the eight major rivers in Wenxian County, which originates from Gulei Mountain at the junction of Liping Township and Wudu County. It is composed of 23 streams, which pass through villages and towns and flow into Bailong River, with a flow of 28 or 9 kilometers, with an average annual flow of 1 and 6 cubic meters per second. Using Ba Long River, the main economic source of Liping Town, Jiuyuan Power Station, Caozui Power Station and Chitangba Power Station have been built successively. The valley of the township is deep, and most of the cultivated land is distributed on the hillside. There are dense forests in the upper reaches of Ba Long and Jiuyuanzhai. Less rainfall, dry and cold climate, short frost-free period and poor production conditions. Food crops include corn, wheat and potatoes. The cash crops are striped party, angelica, pepper, gastrodia elata and so on. Liping is rich in pears, and the juice is fragrant. It has a long history of production and was once famous throughout the county. Jiuyuan Village in Liping Township also produces valuable medicinal materials Cordyceps sinensis. During the mining season, the mountain people rushed to dig up the mountain. Shangjiaba market in Liping Township is prosperous, and it is the distribution center of agricultural and sideline products in Liping and Sheshu Township. Even some villagers near Qiaotou and Wuduwai came here to gather and become the second largest market in Linjiang besides Qiaotou. Thousands of people gather every market day, and all kinds of mountain loans are filled with long streets, and rows of grocery stalls are dazzling. Liping township is located in the earthquake zone. 1897 earthquake caused great losses to local villagers, and there are still traces of the earthquake that year. Yin Jiamo's boulder was caused by the earthquake that year. It is said that the whole village of Lishu Road was buried by the earthquake, and the rooster crowed three days later. 1April 999 15, an earthquake of magnitude 4.5 occurred again in Majiashan area of this township, causing partial damage to Majia, Dazhai, Lishu Road and Yuantou Village, destroying houses and cracking walls, causing some casualties. In May 2008, 12, the Wenchuan earthquake also affected Liping, killing two people and injuring many others.

There are many villages in Liping, among which Shangjiaba, Jinping, Yuping and Zhaocun are famous. 1953 There are Liping Township, Zhaocun Township, Majia Township, Goukou Township, Sheshu Township and Yuping Township, which are later divided into Liping Township and Sheshu Township. The town has a strong cultural atmosphere since ancient times, and the era of reform and opening up advocates learning literary figures. Around 1992, calligraphy lovers, led by Liu, the principal and Wang, the vice principal of Liping junior middle school, organized Li, Shang, Zhang Shutong, Li and others in Liping calligraphy circle to establish Liping Township Calligraphy and Painting Association and held many calligraphy and painting exhibitions. Cui, a painter and calligrapher who was then the curator of Longnan Group Art Museum, and Liping, a famous calligrapher, gave lectures in Liping junior high school, which is quite famous in Longnan. 1July, 1997, held a painting and calligraphy exhibition to welcome the return of Hong Kong. Li, a young calligrapher in Yuping Village, is still building the first memorial forest for the return of Hong Kong.
