Nanhai county includes a part of eastern Guangdong, northern Guangdong, central Guangdong and western Guangdong. Today, part of Zhaoqing belongs to Guilin County and Nanhai County. Sihui County is located in Qin Dynasty, and its jurisdiction covers all or part of Sihui, Guangning, Huaiji and other cities and counties, and it is classified as Nanhai County.

After Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty pacified Nanyue, Gaoyao County was established in Gaoyao, Zhaoqing, Gaoming, Sanshui West and Yunfu East.

In the sixth year of Ding Yuan in the Western Han Dynasty (BC 165438+ BC 0 1), there were 8 counties in the territory, and Sihui County was subordinate to Nanhai County. Guangxin County, Xiemu County, Gaoyao County, Fengyang County and Duan Xi County belong to Cangwu County. Lihepu County, Gaoliang County and Lin Yun County; All belong to JIAOZHOU.

In the seventh year of Yonghe in the Eastern Jin Dynasty (AD 35 1), it was located in 16 county, which was divided into 4 counties and belonged to Guangzhou. Sihui County, Huaihua County and Nanhai County; Guangxin County and Licangwu County of Gaoyao County; Yuanxi County, Duan Xi County, Fengxing County, Ducheng County, Jinhua County, Longxiang County and Furun County were placed under Jin Kang County; Lin Yun County, Xinxing County, Nanxing County, Shandie County and Xing Ping County are all in Xinning County.

After the founding of People's Republic of China (PRC), Zhaoqing has been the seat of Gaoyao County, Zhaoqing Municipal People's Government and Zhaoqing District Administrative Office. 1in March, 988, Zhaoqing was changed to a provincial city, which governs Duanzhou, Dinghu District and Gaoyao, Guangning, Sihui, Xinxing, Luoding, Yunfu, Deqing, Yunan, Fengkai and Huaiji counties.
