Sima Cuo, born and died in an unknown year, was born in Shaoliang (now south of Hancheng, Shaanxi). During the Warring States Period, Sima Qian, a famous historian of Qin State, was the eighth ancestor, following Qin Huiwen, Qin Wuwang and Qin Zhaoxiang.
Learn from early strategists. I once had an argument with Prime Minister Zhang Yi, arguing that "Shu is Chu". In the ninth year of Qin Huiwen (3 16 BC), he led the army to destroy Shu and put down the rebellion in Chen Zhuang. In the twenty-seventh year (280 BC), Zhao Xiang, king of Qin, led an army to attack Chu from south to east, forcing Chu to give up the land of Shangyong (now northwest Hubei) north of Hanshui River. The story after that is unknown.
