The replacement of ancient dynasties in China played a very good role in the inheritance of China culture. The replacement of successive dynasties was all due to the fatuity and brutality of the former monarch, which led to war. Confucianism is an indispensable culture in China. The advantages of Confucianism outweigh the disadvantages. For the rulers at that time, Confucianism was somewhat limited. Otherwise, why did Qin Shihuang burn books to bury Confucianism? This just shows that since Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty adopted Dong Zhongshu's idea of "ousting a hundred schools of thought and respecting Confucianism alone", Confucianism has ruled China for 2,000 years, during which there were gains and losses, and perhaps its greatest role was as a political philosophy. The concept of great unification can ensure long-term peace and prosperity in China. Even the western part of Renye Fang admits that "generally speaking, China is the best-governed area on earth", and the monolithic structure of Greater China has always made the West fear as a "yellow disaster". Perhaps the biggest drawback is that Confucianism has established philosophical hegemony, which can not form a situation in which a hundred schools of thought contend, educate people to believe in authority and suppress creativity. As for other concepts, such as attaching importance to agriculture and neglecting commerce, we can't use the modern point of view to demand the concept more than 2000 years ago, because it was correct at that time.
The importance of family thought. Of course, there are many outdated and backward things in Confucianism, such as obedience to authority, contempt for women, contempt for industry and commerce, and excessive emphasis on personal responsibility. As modern China people, we should critically inherit Confucianism and let it keep pace with the times and carry forward.
The above is purely a personal opinion.
