Yang Guifei's real name

Is her name Yuhuan?

What's the name of the famous Yang Guifei? This is an interesting question.

It is not written in the books of the Tang Dynasty and is not clearly recorded in the history books. The legend of everlasting regret only says that she is Yang Xuanyan's daughter. In the ninth year of Dazhong, that is, about one hundred years after Yang Guifei's death, it was first mentioned in Miscellanies of the Ming Dynasty compiled by Zheng Chuhui: Yang Guifei's small character Yuhuan is still used by later generations. In this regard, there is a different view, that is, Zheng _ "Jin Yang Men Shi Hua Zhu" said: Jade slave is too small. Zheng Chuhui and Zheng _ are both from the Tang Dynasty, living in the same era, and both are Jinshi, so their statements have credible reasons. Of course, it is also possible that these two names are Yang's, Yuhuan's real name and Yunu's posthumous title.

But no matter what Yang Guifei's name is, the old man named Li Longji likes it. He is really an old man. In the 28th year of Kaiyuan, they met for the first time. Yang Cai was twenty-two years old and he was fifty-six. He is always old, but he is the emperor. He was called Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty in history, so he could do whatever he wanted. He not only doesn't care what her name is, but also doesn't care whether she is married or not, and doesn't even consider that she is married to her own son. If he likes it, he must take it away

Yang Yuhuan and Li Mao, the eighth son of Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty, have been married for almost five years. But in the Tang Dynasty, Hu Feng Palace was fierce, and Lao Zi robbed his son's daughter-in-law. It doesn't seem to be a rare thing. Everyone is equal before love, so there is no guardian crying out for the emperor. But after all, it is not a glorious thing. In order to explain to the world, Tang Xuanzong did some work on the table. For example, first, under the banner of filial piety, she was ordered to become a female Taoist priest, saying that she would recommend a blessing to her mother, Dou Taihou, and named the Taoist priest Taizhen, moving out of Shouwangfu and living in Taizhen Palace. This is also to avoid people's eyes and ears and make it easier for them to cheat. After five years' efforts, Xuanzong first earnestly fulfilled his father's duties, betrothed Wei's daughter to Li Mao, the immortal king, as a princess, and then eagerly welcomed Yang back to the palace and officially conferred him as the imperial concubine. Yang Yuhuan is not only beautiful, good at singing and dancing, but also smart and considerate. He is simply the emperor's intimate little cotton-padded jacket, and Xuanzong naturally likes it. Soon, Yang Yuhuan spoiled the harem, making the famille rose of the Sixth Palace go up in smoke. At that time, the palace called her madam, and all the treatments were also queen-level.

In this regard, Tang Li Shangyin lamented. He wrote in "Mount Li" that Yang Feili was deeply impressed: the flying spring is warm and fragrant, and Kowloon cares for the family, which makes everyone happy in the longevity hall, not from the golden jade, but from the longevity king.

It seems that Shouwang is really depressed and embarrassed. However, Xuanzong, regardless of human feelings, still wanted to take away his son's love. He could only sigh that Yang Yuhuan's beauty was too tempting. However, according to common sense, Tang Xuanzong's love for Yang Guifei, who has entered the old age, may not only be because of his lust for beauty and sex, but because he regards her as a spiritual companion who is considerate in life and everything and can cater to his hobbies.

As described in the Book of the Old Tang Dynasty, Tai Zhen is rich and colorful, good at singing and dancing, fluent in melody and superior in intelligence. Every time I look forward to welcoming him, he does the same thing.

The comments in "New Tang Book" are similar, but implicitly added a hint of a special room banquet. Many literary works of later generations are addicted to obscenity, blindly amplifying the ability of the imperial concubine to invite pets with color. I think there is a suspicion of overestimating the physiological function of Emperor Tang Mingdi. Of course, no matter how old men are, they are still very useful for beauty. Besides, this beautiful woman looks like a fairy.

Portrait of Yang Guifei

Has she ever written colorful feathers?

In addition to her outstanding appearance, Yang Yuhuan was attracted by her superb artistic accomplishment in music and dance. History shows that she can sing and dance well and her music is fluent.

Xuanzong has the same hobby, so it is no wonder that he regards her as his artistic confidant and spiritual companion. This can be heard from the joyful tone when he and I got Yang Guifei.

Tang Xuanzong was familiar with temperament and had rich knowledge of music and dance. He trained many noble children in the pear garden. According to the Book of the Old Tang Dynasty, Xuanzong once formed a court band and selected 300 children and hundreds of ladies-in-waiting for guidance. For such a talented artistic emperor, Yang Yuhuan, who is proficient in temperament, is naturally particularly eye-catching. It is said that once, Xuanzong proposed to hold a concert with five musical instruments in the western regions, and the imperial concubine responded positively. At that time, the imperial concubine embraced the pipa, and Xuanzong held the Jie drum, singing and dancing lightly, day and night. In this regard, Bai Juyi has a poem as evidence: slow song and slow dance, the emperor's eyes can't stare at her enough.

In addition, Yang Yuhuan is also a master of percussion. When she played, the percussion music was loud and fresh, which was beyond the reach of a pear garden disciple.

In order to please the beauty, Xuanzong made Lantian sapphire as his chin and decorated it with gold cymbals and pearls, which was extremely precious.

As we all know, Yang Yuhuan has a plump figure, and being fat is beauty, but this does not affect her becoming a master dancer. In addition, what she is best at is the fast-paced and dexterous Hu Xuan dance. According to legend, after Li Longji created colorful feathers, Yang Yuhuan just glanced at it, and soon made up a dance of clothes and feathers, and then danced according to the rhythm, swaying and jumping like the wind, which was very beautiful. Seeing that his beloved imperial concubine had such a good understanding and strong expressive force of her music, Xuanzong was so excited that he couldn't help accompanying her personally. In this choreography, Yang Yuhuan absorbed the expression of traditional dance and combined with the gyration of western dance, which made the whole dance erratic, gentle and graceful, in perfect harmony with music, and became a fine work in music and dance in the Tang Dynasty. Thanks to the imperial concubine, this dance soon became a court dance. To this end, a training class for ladies-in-waiting was specially set up to study and practice respectively.

Yang guifei stills

"Zi Zhi Tong Jian" records that every banquet in the imperial court of the emperor began with the establishment of the Taichang Yayue Sitting Department and the General Department, followed by the dramas of drumming, Sanqu, fenugreek, Jiao Fang and Fuxian; They also travel by mountain bike and land boat. And out of the imperial palace, he made a well-dressed; He also taught a hundred horses to dance and won a cup of longevity; It also attracts rhinos, elephants, worshipping or dancing. This grand performance, which combines dance, music, juggling and animal performances, is huge, and Yang Guifei's creativity is absolutely indispensable.

Has she tried fresh litchi?

Supplement to Tang Shi: Yang Guifei was born in Shu and likes litchi. People born in Shanghai, especially those who are better than Shu, so they gallop forward every year.

The most famous statement about this flying horse offering litchi is Du Mu's poem "Crossing Huaqing Palace":

Chang' an looks back at the embroidered city pile, and the top of the mountain opens a thousand times. As soon as I rode the Princess of the World of mortals, no one knew it was litchi.

For this statement, later generations have always had a lot of doubts. There is a saying that Xuanzong was lucky for the Huaqing Palace in Lishan Mountain only in winter and spring, when the new litchi was immature, so he criticized Xiao Du's poems for being inaccurate. Chen Yinque's textual research is even more powerful. In Bai Yuan's poems, he testified that according to the first-hand reliable data of the Tang Dynasty, neither time nor space allowed Ming Chengzu and the imperial concubine to be in Lishan Mountain in summer. Both Du Mu's and Jiao Yuan's theories come from the secular world. How can they be trusted? Then he criticized Ouyang Xiu for saying that "The Book of the New Tang Dynasty, Rites and Music" was collected by Jiao Yuan's "Ganze Ballad", which is a pity.

We might as well start from common sense and analyze this problem again. As we all know, litchi is not easy to keep fresh. Bai Juyi said in the preface to "Litchi Map" that if you leave this branch, it will change color for one day, change fragrance for two days, change flavor for three days, and lose color and fragrance after four or five days. In Cai Xiang's litchi spectrum, it is asserted that although the speed of offering fresh food is diffused, the survivors with fragrant color will die in a few days after decay, which is not found in China.

Fuzhou, Ceng Gong also holds the same view and intends to pay tribute to litchi. As mentioned above, raw litchi will go bad after five or seven days, so although it is a tribute at the age of five, it is all ready.

From the point of view of the public residence. Some people say it comes from the South China Sea, some people say it comes from Sichuan, some people say Luoyang comes from Lingnan, and Chang 'an comes from Bashu.

And said. However, in the Qing Dynasty, the Qin Dynasty of the Qing Dynasty totally denied the litchi tribute in Fuzhou, thinking that the litchi in Fucheng was indulged by the princess for no reason.

Then, let's assume that litchi comes from Fuzhou. According to Zhang Dai's Night Flight, the imperial concubine in Tang Tianbao loved fresh litchi. Fuzhou was ordered to send it by mail at the age of seven, and arrived in Chang 'an in seven nights, and the whole army was wiped out.

It is said that the rotten litchi sent to Chang 'an has rotted.

Generally speaking, we can draw a reasonable inference that Yang Yuhuan, who became a imperial concubine, had no chance to eat fresh litchi except that she might have tasted fresh litchi in Sichuan when she was a child.

In other words, many sighs of later generations, including the horrible imagination of going to Chang 'an for seven nights, are nothing more than the narrow thinking of the theory of femme fatale, and the beauty is distorted and drowned by saliva.

Is she promiscuous?

As for Yang Guifei's dirty behavior, the case of Gui Fei's vindication of An Lushan's children in Sima Guang's History as a Mirror (Volume 2 16) has the greatest influence and the widest spread.

Paulus Johannes's official book says: On Lushan's birthday, he went to the imperial concubine to buy clothes and invited Lushan to enter the Forbidden City. The imperial concubine treated the splendid scenery as a big treasure, wrapped her in the joy of seeing Lushan Mountain, gave her money to wash her children and gave Lushan Mountain a natural gift. Lushan Mountain can't help but enter the palace, or eat with the imperial concubine, or stay up all night, which is quite ugly.

Sima Wengong is knowledgeable and rigorous in studying history, but in order to compile a good quality education textbook for the emperor, he even avoided the official history and just poured sewage on Yang Yuhuan. Many people don't like this. In Tong Jian compiled in Qing Dynasty, it is clearly pointed out that Tong Jian contains all the records of Lushan deeds and Tianbao legacy, which may not be true records, so I won't take it today.

Yuan Mei, a famous scholar in Qing Dynasty, accused the imperial concubine more directly: Yang Fei's "Washing Children" is not among the books of New Tang Dynasty and Old Tang Dynasty, while Wen Gong Jing is based on Tianbao's legacy. Don't you know that this novel is based on the slang of the village lane? As early as the early years of the Southern Song Dynasty, Mr. Hong Mai pointed out that the book about Tianbao's legacy was too shallow and undesirable, but it was quite misleading.

It's unfortunate that the misinformation of Princess Lu was written into the official history by a thousand-year-old pedant!

So what is the actual situation?

Biography of Yang Guifei in Old Tang Dynasty: There are three sisters, all of whom are talented and beautiful.

Thanks to grace, he walked into the palace.

However, there is another basis for bringing out a An Lushan: in the supplement of History of Zhao Guo of Li, An Lushan won the favor and went to deal with it, mixed with banter, and the imperial concubine was always present. Mrs. Yang's third wife was an imperial edict about brothers, which moved Lushan. When I heard the news of Ma Wei's death, I was sad for several days.

What needs to be explained here is why Xuanzong killed Mrs. Yang as a brother. According to the records of Cui Jiaofang in the Tang Dynasty, the women in the Jiaofang are all similar in spirit, and they all talk about the Xiang brothers. Since Lang hired a woman, their fragrant brothers have been fighting with each other and studying Turkic law in the cloud.

As mentioned above, the prevalence of Hu Feng in the Tang Dynasty is actually a relic of the ancient custom of sharing husbands with sisters. Yang's three wives are all married, not concubines of the emperor. How can they get lucky casually? Then only according to the custom of Turkey, the third lady asked her brothers in the name of the imperial concubine and sisters, so as to inherit the kindness and have a relationship with Xuanzong in a proper way. Because it was the social atmosphere at that time, Du Fu was able to write without hesitation: Mrs. Guo owed her master and got on the horse in Kinmen. But I don't like pink _ color. I sweep the moth eyebrow to the supreme.

However, this social atmosphere is only a connivance of men or imperial power, and it is even more impossible for women, especially the concubines favored by the emperor, and they are never allowed to leave the palace at will. Lushan's heart is touched, but he just envies Tang's happiness. Later, An Lushan recognized Yang Guifei, who was 20 years younger than him, as a foster mother. This is just a shameless means for cunning An Lushan to please Tang Xuanzong. Look at An Lushan himself, seriously obese. In each row, he can only move by lifting his body over his shoulders.

Lushan has a big belly, and every time he wears clothes, three or four people hold him. If two people are pregnant, it is possible to have an affair if they take 10 thousand steps back. How can a man like him impress the noble and beautiful Yang Guifei?

How did she die?

Although Li Longji is 34 years older than Yuhuan, he was once a wise monarch with great talent and wealth. But when you reach the peak of your life, extravagance and extravagance will inevitably replace the pursuit of governing the country. Especially after 50 years old, his beloved concubine left him, lamenting the impermanence of life and gradually losing interest in politics. Since then, under the catering of the prime minister and eunuchs, he soon got tired of politics, leaving Li and others to be authoritarian and good at politics. Although he was at leisure, he also planted a curse. That is to say, the emperor, from then on, gave up his early hearing, and the sudden change was not entirely due to Yang Yuhuan. Yang Guozhong was later reused by Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty. Although he pursued the imperial concubine, his main purpose was to contain Li's autocratic power.

But in any case, the emperor was confused, and the disaster of the empire would come sooner or later. In November of the 14th year of Tianbao, An Lushan seized the throne in the name of Yang and rebelled. In less than a year, the rebels approached Chang 'an. Therefore, when Xuanzong rushed into Sichuan and passed ant hill, the army mutinied, forcing Xuanzong to punish Yang Guozhong and give Yang Guifei, 38, a suicide.

There are many stories about her death. In addition to the mainstream view that she was strangled, others said that her blood spilled on Maitie, when she was almost in chaos. Some people say that she took people away and lived among the people. Even more bizarre, Yang Guifei fled to Japan or as far away as the United States. With the passage of time, the legend of Yang Guifei's death is becoming more and more vivid, and of course it is getting farther and farther away from the historical facts.

As a matter of fact, Yang Guifei will die in Mayi Post Station. Judging from the linen incident, Yang Guifei is certain to die. After the slaughter, the body was transported from the Buddhist temple to the post office and placed in the yard. Also call Chen He and other soldiers in to have a look. This is clearly and consistently recorded in many history books.

When the beauty's life came to an end, the legend reached its climax. Beautiful women are always fragrant, but the fragrance is lingering, and stories are endless. A lot of grievances, a lot of right and wrong, or go to another world to settle down. In this regard, Yuan Mei of the Qing Dynasty wrote: In the end, the king lost the former alliance, and the love of Jiangshan was more important than beauty, and Yuhuan rewarded the taste of husband and wife. Since then, the world has not been reborn.

Sigh through the ages

She is a very simple woman.

Her life course is also very simple, except for the ethical embarrassment of marrying her son first and then her father. Her short life is almost a spoiled woman. She is a chubby beauty, with a happy and simple nature and no scheming. There is no emperor in her eyes, only an ordinary man. She just wants to be a good woman. So, she spoiled, she played dumb, she was willful, and she was fooling around. Because she is true love, doesn't care about rules, doesn't need scheming, but finally won the man's heart.

Her success lies in her knowing how to be a pure woman; She failed only because she was born in the wrong era.

It is said that it is specially used to bathe Yang Guifei, so it is also called Princess Soup. There is a cool hair pavilion by the pool, which is said to be the place where the imperial concubine bathes and combs her hair.
