Xinjin pure yang view in Taoist history
In the early years of the Republic of China, Chengdu Zhengxintang, a charity in Chengdu, planned to build Chunyangguan into a large-scale "the first Confucian forest of loyalty and filial piety in ancient and modern times" on the grounds that Lv Chunyang was an immortal of loyalty and filial piety, with a view to correcting people's hearts and promoting loyalty and filial piety. Subsequently, Chengdu Zhengxintang contacted Sichuan military and political dignitaries and tycoons to raise funds all over the country and obtained land 120 mu. In the eighth year of the Republic of China (65,438+0,965,438+09), the concept of pure yang began to expand. On the basis of the original pure Yang view, the expansion project first built the surrounding buildings such as the Shanmen Gate, Lingzu Kuixing Hall, Wu Wenchang Hall, Liesheng Guanyue Hall, Dazhong Pavilion, Xiao Zhi Pavilion, Lingzu Building and Langfang. Then, from Guan Longfeng in Xia Dynasty to Lin Zexu in Qing Dynasty, 24 statues of loyal ministers were created in Dazhong Pavilion, and 24 statues of dutiful sons were created in Xiao Zhi Pavilion.

In addition to the Dazhong Pavilion and Xiao Zhi Pavilion, the expansion project originally planned to build the connecting building, the first floor, the Huang Yu Building and the Dacheng Hall. Unfortunately, due to the outbreak of War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, the third layer of Jieyi and Huang Yu and Dacheng Hall were not completed. Therefore, the expansion of pure yang concept began in the eighth year of the Republic of China and ended in the middle of the twenty-fifth year of the Republic of China, which lasted for seventeen years.

Although the expansion was not completed as planned, the view of pure yang after the expansion has changed from a small Taoist view to a unique Taoist and Confucian temple view, and has become an important modern building in southwest Sichuan.

During the period of War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, the National Government established the "China Comfort Women War Soldiers General Association" and the "Chengdu Branch No.4 Childcare Institute of the Wartime Childcare Association" (hereinafter referred to as "Rongsi Hospital") here from 1939 to 1945. Wenchang Wu Temple is dedicated to martial artist Guan Yu in the south and Wenchang Emperor in the north.

Between Sanfeng Lv Zu Temple and Wenchang Wuci Temple, there are cloisters connected on both sides, and there are six Taoist statues in the cloister: the East Cloister is the grand commander in charge of the Three Caos, the envoy and the Lord of heaven and man; The West Corridor is the Great Buddha of Ling Wei, Xuanxuan and Hao Tian Yuan Zhen.
