Zhao Hua, called Jiameng in ancient times, is located in the north of Sichuan and the south of Qinling Mountains, at the intersection of Jialing River and Bailong River. On the Jinniu Ancient Road in Li Qian, which starts from Hanzhong in Shaanxi in the north and ends in Chengdu in Sichuan in the south, it has the strategic position of "controlling Qin Long and seizing Bashu in the potential". Since ancient times, it has been the "North Lock Kawaguchi", a battleground for military strategists in past dynasties. 1992 was named as a famous historical and cultural town in Sichuan Province by the Sichuan Provincial People's Government.

Zhao Hua has a long history, rich culture, beautiful environment and rich tourism resources, especially the culture of the Three Kingdoms. Well-known stories of the Three Kingdoms, such as Zhang Fei's midnight battle with Ma Chao, Zhuge Liang's Northern Expedition, Huang Zhong and Yan Yun's retreat to Cao Bing, Fei Yi's ruling the country, and Jiang's being trapped in Niutoushan, all happened here. Known by historians as "the second capital of Shu", it is an important part of Jianmen Shudao tourism loop. The ancient city of Zhao Hua has completely preserved the ancient post roads, ancient passes, ancient city walls, ancient tombs, slate streets, ancient houses and other cultural relics, carved beams and painted buildings, and is known as the "Millennium Ancient Town". Since 2004, the town party committee and government have vigorously promoted the "Five Ones" construction of Zhao Hua ancient city scenic spot around the development idea of "Do a good job and beautify the ancient city of Zhao Hua" by the district party committee and district government: one city (ancient city of Zhao Hua), one mountain (Niutoushan), one water (Jialing River), one road (Jinniu Road) and one village (Tianxiong provincial well-off demonstration village). Now, Niutou Mountain Scenic Area has been completed, where you can play Tai Chi, explore secluded places and enjoy red leaves. The towers, city walls, archways, county courtyards, town god temples, Yixinyuan, Yihe Hall and street kiosks in the ancient city scenic area have been fully restored, and the catering, accommodation and entertainment facilities are becoming more and more perfect. At the same time, we will strive to build the ancient city of Zhao Hua into a national AAAA-level tourist attraction within one year, and become a cultural experience place and an ecological leisure place for domestic and foreign tourists in the Three Kingdoms.
