The apostle is a poet's long poem, which consists of 20 chapters ***292 1 line.

The first chapter to the fourth chapter describes the tragic life of the Sylvester family, the protagonist of the long poem. The story of the long poem begins at night outside Beijing. The Sylvesters live on a top floor, full of gloom, loneliness and poverty. The owner of the house, Sylvester, gazed thoughtfully at the future world, his eyes flying in the air like a flash-forward. The long poem begins with the fifth chapter and describes Sylvester's life experience. He turned out to be an illegitimate child and was quietly thrown into the carriage. The coachman took him away and put him in front of a humble hotel in the suburbs. An alcoholic old man found him when he walked out of the hotel and took him back to the female neighbor to feed him. After little Sylvester was raised, the old man made him a thief. Later, the old man was sentenced to death for abetting.

From chapter 7 to chapter 14, the long poem describes the tragic scene of Sylvester living on the street. One night, an old witch took Sylvester home and let him live with the dog. The old witch made him beg and taught him how to win the sympathy of the nobles. He was clever and agile, and soon learned all kinds of begging moves, which made the old witch like him very much. When Sylvester was six years old, he felt more and more like an unfortunate orphan. One night after begging for more than two years, he was taken to his manor by a noble master and became a servant, responsible for serving the young master. In the manor, Sylvester met a teacher and learned a lot, especially the truth about human liberation. Knowledge has given Sylvester infinite power. Finally, one day he got up the courage to escape from the manor and went to the countryside to organize revolutionary forces and publicize revolutionary principles. He met a girl who was as progressive as himself in the countryside and married her.

The fifteenth chapter of the long poem dates back to the second chapter, describing the tragic life of Sylvester's family of four. His youngest son starved to death because of the hardship of life. His wife sang a lamentation beside the body, hoping that his young soul could be resurrected.

The long poem begins with the sixteenth chapter, and narrates Sylvester's tragic experience of being arrested and imprisoned for publishing progressive books. In the street, he was caught by soldiers, taken to a prison van and taken to prison. He tried to escape, but to no avail. Ten years' imprisonment has aged and matured him.

From chapter 18, Sylvester heard a bird singing on the prison wall. This brought him hope and awakened him from silence. After he was released from prison, his family was completely destroyed. He had no choice but to shoot the king with a gun. After the defeat, he was arrested and guillotined, ending his fighting career.

Acts is petofi's later masterpiece. It was after the Pace Uprising that the Hungarian Patriotic War entered the most intense period, and it was also the period when the Austrian invaders launched an all-round attack on Hungary, which had just won.

Judging from the artistic technique of long poems, the apostles are solemn, and lyric and narrative have reached a clever combination. The story of a long poem is full of drama, just like the tragic growth experience of the protagonist, telling people that only they can liberate themselves and cannot rely on the sympathy and pity of others.

In Acts, the poet created the image of Sylvester, a "lonely revolutionary". Although he is still an idealist, always standing above the people and posing as a "teacher", he sincerely hopes that his motherland will be free and end his life of fighting tragically. People like Sylvester are shining examples of the Hungarian people, especially the radicals, fighting for "freedom all over the world".

The apostles have obvious Hungarian folk song style, which is the most remarkable feature of Petofi. He studied folk songs hard, combined with his own experience and revolutionary practice, endowed them with brand-new contents and served the broad masses of people with his own poems. The theme of his poems comes from Hungarian folklore or people's life and struggle. For example, the hero of this poem is the representative of millions of revolutionary fighters.

Bitter satire is also a feature of petofi's poetry. His poems are clear about love and hate, revealing and satirizing all kinds of people deeply, and exposing those people in a few words. For example, the description of the greedy character of the old drunkard and the servile attitude of the old witch in the poem show their ugly behavior.

Petofi is not only the pride of the Hungarian people, the originator of Hungarian literature, but also one of the outstanding poets in the world. The achievements of his combative poems and long narrative poems have influenced the creation of progressive writers all over the world. Lu Xun was greatly influenced by him. He wrote his biography and translated his poems.
