When Chu and Han contended, Han Xin, the general of Hanwang and Liu Bang, made great contributions to the expedition. He's proud of himself, and he's a little high. After pacifying the State of Qi, he wrote to Liu Bang, demanding that he be named as a "fake (agent) king of Qi". When Liu learned this, he was very angry and called Han Xin daydreaming! After reading the letter, Sean, a subordinate, advised, "At present, our army is at a disadvantage, the Chu army is still strong, and Han Xin holds a large part of its military power. Your majesty might as well push the boat with the current and agree to his request. " When Liu got the news, he sent Sean as his special envoy, took away Wang Yin and made Han Xin king of Qi. Han Xin was very happy and promised to send his troops to attack the overlord of Chu quickly.
The Han army set an ambush in the Beggars' Sect, and Han Xin served as the commander-in-chief of the three armed forces, asking Liu Bang to guard the camp. Han Xin was brave and resourceful. The overlord of Chu was defeated and drew his sword. Worried about Han Xin's high position, Liu Bang seized his military power and all the land, and renamed him King Chu.
In 202 BC, Liu Bang proclaimed himself emperor, namely Emperor Gaozu. Soon, it was reported that Han Xin hid Zhong Limei, the general of Xiang Yu, at home, as if he wanted to rebel. When this story reached Han Xin, he was advised to say, "Why don't you kill Zhong Limei to show your heart and make the emperor happy?" Han Xin said: "Zhong Limei has always had friendship with me. When I was in Chuying, the overlord tried to kill me. Thanks to Zhong Limei, he saved me. Now that he is cornered, how can I have the heart to kill him? " Despite all this talk, Han Xin finally had a face-to-face talk with Zhong Limei. Zhong Limei saw through his mind and cursed him for being heartless and committing suicide.
Subsequently, Han Xin presented Liu Bang with Zhong Limei's head. Liu Bang still suspected that Han Xin was insincere and ordered the samurai to tie him up. When the doctor Tian Ken learned about this, he met Liu Bang and said, "There are several things worth congratulating your majesty. One is the surrender of Han Xin; Second, your majesty firmly controls the Sanqin (Guanzhong). Your majesty used this dangerous terrain to control and control the princes, just like pouring water from a bottle on a high roof. " Tian Ken added, "It's very important that more than two thousand miles and more than seventy cities are added together. If you control this place, you can take one as ten. In such an important place, you can't make him king of Qi unless you are relatives. "
Liu Bang recognized Tian Ken's intention to intercede for Han Xin in diplomacy. Because the stability of Sanqin's peaceful land is mainly attributed to Han Xin. Therefore, Liu Bang pardoned Han Xin and only reduced him to Huaiyin Hou.
