The history of Tangyuan Town
Tangyuan Town is named after the county seat. Formerly known as "Tangwang Hekou". At the end of the Qing Dynasty 1906 (thirty-two years of Guangxu in Qing Dynasty), Tangyuan County was set up at the mouth of Tangwang River, the city base was demarcated, and the official offices were restored, belonging to Zhaizhong Township. 19 10 (the second year of Qing Xuantong), the city wall was built, the moat was dug, and the first area was set up. After the founding of the Republic of China, in 192 1 year, the county governor asked General Brigadier General to move the county seat to Jiaochangzi (now the Nanjiang side of Tangyuan Town) on the Songhua River to survey the city foundation and build a new county building. After the old county moved south, it was called "North Street" or "Old Street Base". Later, due to the low terrain of Xinxian County, it was often flooded. 1April, 923, the county department moved back to the original county seat of "North Street". After the fall of Northeast China, 1939 was renamed Tangyuan Street. 1945 after the "93" victory in War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, the first district was established, 1948+0 1 was changed to county, and 1950 was changed to the first district. Tangyuan Town was founded in 1955. 1August, 958, Xiangyang Township merged and renamed Tangyuan Town People's Commune. 196 1 June, set aside some production brigades to establish Xiangyang commune. 1980 was renamed Tangyuan Town.
