Wangqing County is located in the east of Jilin Province, northeast of Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture, and at the junction of Jilin and Heilongjiang provinces. East-west length 152km, north-south width 100km, 45km from Russia in the east and 20km from North Korea in the south, close to Tumen, Hunchun, Dongning and Suifenhe ports.
Wangqing County is located in the northeast of Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture, Jilin Province, at the foot of Changbai Mountain. The history of crustal evolution in Wangqing area is complex and long, and the metallogenic geological conditions are superior. There are many large-scale mineral metallogenic belts in the territory.

Jilin Lanjia Grand Canyon National Forest Park is located in the east of Wangqing County and belongs to the Changbai Mountain Range. The scenic area is rich in vegetation, and tigers and leopards frequently appear in the northeast. It is the most primitive scenic spot in Changbai Mountain. The park covers a total area of 4,854 hectares, and consists of three parts: Jinling Songtao Scenic Area, Wukesong Scenic Area and Dashihe Scenic Area. It is famous for its rarity, beauty, seclusion and desolation. There are Stone River, Diaoshui Lake, Jiudian Waterfall and Hengduan Mountain for tourists to visit.
Mantianxing National Forest Park is 48 kilometers away from Yanji City, 40 kilometers away from Tumen City and 36 kilometers away from Wangqing County. It is a national AAA-level scenic spot centered on artificial lake after the completion of Mantaicheng Power Station. Forest Park covers an area of 17057.3 hectares and the total length of Tianxing Lake is 18 km, making it one of the largest artificial lakes in Jilin Province.
