What is the English font?
English fonts are generally new Roman fonts. Generally, the fonts in English and Chinese in official documents are all new Roman fonts, TimesNewRoman. TimesNewRoman is a transitional serif in font design, which has a far-reaching influence on later fonts. In addition, it is often selected as one of the standard fonts because of its regular and stable classic appearance.

The evolution of English fonts

According to the historical development order of English fonts, the order is: serif Roman fonts, old fonts, transitional fonts and modern fonts. From the perspective of traditional printing technology, serif fonts are more readable, especially in long paragraphs, and the contrast of strokes increases readers' visual experience of fonts, while sans serif fonts are mostly used in titles or short words, which are eye-catching and attractive. Serif fonts are regarded as traditional symbols, and the details at the end of each glyph stroke are decorated.
