Anshan Temple was founded in the 23rd year of Zhenguan in Tang Dynasty (AD 649), and was originally named as Anshan Yongquan Temple (named after the Yongquan Spring beside the temple). There are two ginkgo trees in front of the temple for thousands of couples to hug. The crown of the tree is like a lid, with deep roots and luxuriant leaves. This place enjoys the title of "Anshan Spring Show". Rebuilt three times in Ming and Qing Dynasties, it is a Buddhist holy land at the east foot. The original temple is magnificent, with hundreds of monks, frequent Buddhist activities, lingering incense and drums. After the war, the old site of the temple was almost exhausted. In order to implement the party's religious policy, carry forward the national Buddhist culture and protect the cultural heritage. In 2003, Sheng Yuan Hotel in Surabaya donated 2 million yuan for reconstruction. After reconstruction, the Anshan Temple includes the mountain gate, the Heavenly King Hall, the Ursa Hall, the East-West Annex Hall and the old courtyard. The newly-built lotus pond and the release pond are integrated with Taohua Qushui, Cangsong Baicui, Millennium Ginkgo and Shengyuan Resort, which is a scenic spot. In 2005, Lu [67] approved Ansan Temple as a venue for Buddhist activities.
