What is polyester fiber made of?
Polyester fiber is a synthetic fiber obtained by spinning polyester condensed from organic dibasic acid and diol, which belongs to polymer compounds.

Polycool fiber is a low-cost synthetic chemical fiber, which is a derivative produced in the production of oil and natural gas. Polycool fiber produced in large quantities in industry is made of polyethylene terephthalate, and the trade name of China is polyester. Its disadvantages are poor hygroscopicity, weak water absorption and poor melting resistance, but with the progress of science and technology, these weaknesses have also been improved.

Poly-cool fiber has the advantages of high strength and elasticity, so it is durable, does not need ironing, and has excellent light resistance. In addition, poly-cool fiber has good resistance to various chemicals, and is not afraid of mildew and moth.

Development history

194 1 year, British J.R. winfield and J.T. Dixon successfully developed polyester fiber with terephthalic acid and ethylene glycol as raw materials for the first time in the laboratory, and named it polyester. 1953, the United States produced polyester fiber with the trade name Dacron, and then polyester fiber developed rapidly all over the world. The world output of 1960 polyester fiber exceeds that of polyacrylonitrile fiber, and the world output of 1972 polyamide fiber exceeds that of polyacrylonitrile fiber.

A general term for fibers made of polyester condensed from various diols and aromatic dicarboxylic acids or their esters. Because polyethylene terephthalate fiber is its main variety, it is usually called polyester fiber. This kind of fiber has a crisp appearance and good thermal stability, but its hygroscopicity is slightly poor. They are mainly used to make all kinds of clothes, bedding, interior decoration and so on.
