Taikang County is located in the north-central part of Zhoukou, bordering Zhecheng County under the jurisdiction of Lu Yi and Kaifeng City in the east, Huaiyang and Xihua in the south, Fugou in the west and Tongxu, Qixian and Suixian in Kaifeng City in the north. It covers an area of 1759 km2, governs 23 townships and 766 village committees, and has a population of13.29 million.
Taikang County has a long history. The Neolithic Yangshao and Longshan cultural sites, such as Fangcheng, Huaisi and Taomugang, which were left in the territory five or six thousand years ago, are all evidence of human activities. The development of Taikang county has a history of about 5000 years. In primitive society, Duwanqiu (now Huaiyang County) of Taihao Fuxi belonged to Duji of Taihao Fuxi. Summer belongs to Yuzhou, and early summer belongs to brother. "Zuo Zhuan" Du pre-notes: "Ge was between Zheng and Song Dynasties, that is, in the present Taikang area." Later, King Xia Taikang moved his capital here, hence the name Yang Xia. After his death, he was buried here again, so people called Yang Xia Taikang, hence the name Taikang County. Taikang County was first placed in Wendi for seven years (587). After several generations of vicissitudes, although the affiliation has changed, it has always belonged to Chen (Huaiyang) and Bian (Kaifeng). After the founding of the People's Republic of China, it successively belonged to Huaiyang, Shangqiu and Kaifeng areas, and/kloc-0 was changed to Zhoukou area on August 2, 2000.
Japan changed to Zhoukou city. Taikang county is the seat of county governance in past dynasties, with a history of more than 2,000 years, and has been listed as a first-class county since the Republic of China.
There are many talented people in the history of Taikang County, and they have written a brilliant chapter in the history of China. At the end of Qin Dynasty, Guangwu, a farmer from Taikang, and Chen Sheng, a farmer from Shangshui County led the first peasant uprising in China history, which dealt a heavy blow to the Qin Dynasty. Ba Huang, the prime minister of Xuandi in the Western Han Dynasty, was a Taikang native with poor law enforcement and outstanding achievements. He was praised by Xuan Di as a "saint and gentleman" and a "pillar of the country". Xie An, a politician and strategist of Taikang in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, was both wise and brave, strategizing and winning thousands of miles. The Battle of Feishui defeated Fu Jian, king of Qin, with 80,000 troops and 1 1,000,000 men, creating a brilliant example in history. Others, such as He Zeng, prime minister of the Western Jin Dynasty, Justin and Xie Kun, writers of the Eastern Jin Dynasty, Xie Daowen, a famous poet, Xie Xuan and Xie Lingyun of the Southern Dynasties, Xie Zhao, a poet of the Qi Dynasty, Han Hong, a teacher of the Tang Dynasty, and Wang Chong, a minister of the Ming Dynasty. Or as a military commander, he has repeatedly built meritorious military service; Or governance, outstanding performance; Or good literature, write books handed down from generation to generation. It not only adds luster to the land of Taikang, but also sets up a brilliant monument in the history of our country. Since the Ming and Qing Dynasties, many people with lofty ideals have led the broad masses of the people to hold high the banner of justice against oppression and exploitation and fought tenaciously against the feudal ruling class. Li Zicheng, the leader of the peasant uprising in the late Ming Dynasty, attacked Taikang twice, and Zhang Lexing and Sun Kuixin, the leaders of the Nian Army, fought fiercely with the Qing army in and out of the county town many times during the Xianfeng period of the Qing Dynasty, all of which were strongly supported by the people of Taikang. In), the "Zodiac Society" organized by farmers in Yanling held an uprising and attacked Taikang County with more than a thousand people led by farmers Li Zichong, Qin Yudian and Zhao Mao in Xifule City of Taikang County, which shocked the Qing Dynasty and supported the Revolution of 1911.
