The Historical Origin of Jianger
Jianger should have been born from the late clan society to the early slave society, and Mongolian society is still underdeveloped. This epic is rich in ideological content. According to legend, Jianger is the son of Uzon Aladar Khan, the leader of Pemba. When he was two years old, his parents were captured and killed by the devil. Xiaojianger, who was hiding in the cave, was discovered and adopted by good people. Jiang Er has great wisdom, noble character, amazing physical strength and high martial arts since he was a child. From the age of seven, he made great achievements, annexed 42 neighboring tribes, and was elected as Khan by his subjects.

With superhuman wisdom and extraordinary talent, the warriors headed by Jianger constantly defeated the invasion from neighboring tribes and the attack from evil forces headed by Python Gus, gradually expanded their strength, wealth and territory, and then established a beautiful home with Pemba as the core. The seasons here are like spring, and people live a quiet life of ample food and clothing and love each other. However, this caused the envy of Jianger's enemies, and Jianger's skillful craftsman and good wife became the targets of plunder. The epic launched a series of thrilling war scenes around the looting of marriage, wealth and pasture, from which we can learn about the economic culture, living customs and political system of ancient Mongolian society.

There are different opinions about the age of this epic. Scholars such as Kokin, a late academician of the Soviet Academy of Sciences, concluded that it was formed in the15th century; Mongolian scholar Basodnamu and Czechoslovakian scholar Papauha believe that it came into being before15th century, and began to appear in13rd century. By17th century, the main part had been finalized. Domestic researchers also have different views. Some said it was a work of primitive society, while others thought it was produced in primitive society, and it was basically stereotyped in the Ming Dynasty.

There are different opinions about the origin and spread area of Jianger. One view is that it was originally produced in the Mongolian inhabited area around Altai Mountain in Xinjiang, China. A large number of materials found in Xinjiang in recent years further confirm the reliability of the above viewpoint. Jianger is still widely circulated among Mongolians all over Xinjiang. It also spread among kalmyk people in the Soviet Union. Today's Kalmyk people are descendants of Mongolian Uygur tribes who moved from Xinjiang, China to the lower reaches of Volga River in the early 7th century. With the migration of Willa people, Jianger spread to the lower reaches of Volga River in Russia. This epic has a certain influence in Buryatia Autonomous Republic, Tuva Autonomous Republic, Altai region and Mongolian.
