2. Life of the character: According to legend, he is the eighth grandson of Sean, the founding hero of the Western Han Dynasty. Han Guangwu was born in Afang Village, Fengxian County on the 15th day of the first month of the tenth year of Jianwu. Zhang Daoling's father, Zhang Dashun, is a good fairy. He called himself "Tongbai real person" and gave birth to a son named Ling, hoping to follow his ancestors, stay away from the world and become immortal. Zhang Daoling was brilliant since he was a child. At the age of seven, he studied Tao Te Ching. When he was studying in imperial academy, he was familiar with the Five Classics, astronomy and geography, and the book of divination in Heluo, with more than a thousand scholars. But I often sigh that the books I read can't solve the problem of life and death, so I abandon Confucianism and follow the literature and change to a way of senior three. At the age of 26, Zhang Daoling became an official and obeyed the order of Jiangzhou (now Chongqing), but he soon resigned and went to Mangshan Mountain in Luoyang North (now Luoyang North, Henan Province) to learn Taoism. Emperor Zhang of Han Dynasty and Emperor He of Han Dynasty successively recruited him as a teacher and Hou of Jixian County, and both resigned. After that, Zhang Daoling began to travel to famous mountains and rivers, seeking immortality by visiting Taoism. First, I went south to the Huaihe River and lived in Tongbai Taiping Mountain. Later, I crossed the river with my disciples Wang Chang and Zhao Sheng to Yunjin Mountain in Guixi County, Jiangxi Province. With beautiful scenery, Zhang Daoling lived on the mountain to build a house and an altar for an alchemist. Legend has it that three years later, the dragon and tiger appeared, so this mountain is also called the Dragon and Tiger Mountain. When Zhang Daoling was 60 years old, he heard that Sichuan was simple and easy to be educated, so he moved to Hemingshan, Sichuan.
