Yiyuan Garden, "Suzhou Gardens in Jiangnan", is the latest classical garden among many famous Ming and Qing gardens in Suzhou. Located in the center of Suzhou, not far from Guanqian Street, it was built in the late Qing Tongzhi and early Guangxu years, with a history of only a hundred years. The owner of the garden is Gu Wenbin, and Yu Yue, a scholar in the late Qing Dynasty, wrote an article entitled "Yiyuan Garden". The article said: "Fang Bo of Gu Zishan built Yiyuan Village under the shadow of spring, opened its east as a garden, and let nature take its course to support his life, named Yiyuan Garden."
