Zhouzhuang 1
Zhouzhuang, a small town in the south of the Yangtze River, has the reputation of "the first water town in China" and is the first batch of 5A scenic spots in China. Zhouzhuang was founded in 1086 (the first year of Northern Song Dynasty), and was named after Mr. Zhou Digong, a Yi citizen, donated land to build Quanfu Temple. During the Spring and Autumn Period, it was a fief for the Prince of Wu, named Zhenfengli.
2. Xitang
Xitang has a long history and is one of the birthplaces of ancient Wuyue culture. During the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, it was the border between wuyue and China, so it was called "Wu Gen's Corner Crossing" and "Corner Crossing". On June 8, 2003, 10 was included in the first batch of famous historical and cultural towns in China evaluated by the Ministry of Construction of People's Republic of China (PRC) and National Cultural Heritage Administration. 20 1 1 Xitang Millennium Ancient Town was listed in the World Historical and Cultural Heritage Protection List and awarded the Outstanding Achievement Award in Historical and Cultural Protection by the United Nations.
3. Tongli
Tongli Town, one of the six ancient towns in the south of the Yangtze River, was originally named "Futu", which was changed to Tongli in the early Tang Dynasty and Tongli in the Song Dynasty. Founded in the Song Dynasty, it has a history of over 20 15 years and is an ancient cultural town in China. Tongli Town is located in Wujiang District, Suzhou City, which is 18km away from Suzhou City and 80km away from Shanghai. Tongli, with an area of 33 hectares, is surrounded by five lakes and connected by 49 bridges. The reticulated river divides the town into seven islands. In the ancient town, every family faces the water and every family has a boat; Bridges in Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties are well preserved. 1982 became the earliest and only ancient town in Jiangsu province that took the whole town as a cultural relic protection unit. 1995 is listed as the first batch of famous historical and cultural towns in Jiangsu province. 1998, the ancient water town and tuisi garden were included in the preparatory list of world cultural heritage.
4. Wuzhen
Wuzhen is located at the northern end of Tongxiang City, Zhejiang Province, with Huzhou City in the west and Wujiang District in Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province in the north. It is the junction of two provinces and three cities. Wuzhen was originally divided into Wuqin and Hexi Wuzhen, belonging to Wucheng County, Huzhou Prefecture. Hedong is a green town, which belongs to Tongxiang County, Jiaxing Prefecture. After liberation, Wuzhen, west of Shihe River, was placed under Tongxiang County and was called Wuzhen. The whole town governs 13 community neighborhood committees and 18 administrative villages.
