Zhao Cheng, formerly known as Zhaocheng County, is said to be the birthplace of Zhao. In ancient times, it scored seven points when competing for water between Huoquan and Hongdong County. In 1950s, it merged with Hongtong County to become Zhaocheng Town.
First of all, in front of the old house called "Zhao Cheng Yamen" by local people, because the surrounding area has become a modern building, I won't explain it here, and its true appearance is not clear. To be sure, this ancient building is a room in a yard, maybe the first room, maybe not, definitely not the county government. If it is related to the county government, it can only be the place where the county official lives.
At present, this ancient house is in a state of protection. The second floor has been vacated, and there are people working on the first floor for the time being.
Not far from here, there is a famous former residence, which is the former residence of Zhang Ruiqi, the tycoon of the Republic of China. Zhang Ruiqi started this garden, and he wrote "Whose Garden" for it, which means whose garden it will become in the future is unknown, and it may be sold by future generations or confiscated by the government. The World Garden was built around 19 14, and its architectural style is brick-wood structure combining Chinese and western styles. At present, you can see the boudoir building, Laixunzhai, Academy building and so on. Being in a new stage of tourism development, I don't know if it can be made into a famous scenic spot in the future.
Zhang Ruigan was a scholar in Guangxu period of Qing Dynasty. He used to be the magistrate of Hancheng, Xingping, Lintong, Xianning and Chang 'an in Shaanxi. Later, he actively participated in the Revolution of 1911. In the early years of the Republic of China, he served as a member of parliament, adviser to the presidential palace, and director of Shanxi Province's finance. He is famous for lambasting Yuan Shikai, leaving a collection of poems, and he is also very accomplished in painting and calligraphy. 1928 died, and later people donated a large number of his books to Shanxi Provincial Library, about 654.38+10,000 volumes.
After liberation, the government used to work here, and the overall protection was relatively good. Even the wall built later, despite the brick carving of "Long live the Top Gun Commune", still has the same style.
We visited the college building and then went upstairs. At that time, the surrounding environment was still very good, and you could see Huoshan in the distance. The Academy Building is also the place where Zhang Ruiqi lives and receives guests, and the couplets on the doorframes are also written by him. Today, it seems that it is still worth tasting, such as "learning Confucianism with wine, learning Buddhism without wine, just reading history and classics every day", "Ma Xu loves the residual beans and eagles to fight the dust" and "I would rather have a world view without myself".
Passing by "Laixunzhai", Lao Zhang asked what "Laixunzhai" meant. At that time, he was afraid to say. Xunzi is a knowledgeable character with many explanations. This used to be the place where Zhang's children studied, which may be taken from Nanfengge's Nanfengxun. Because the door faces south, it can be expressed as "training with wind". It's just a guess In the past, some scholarly families liked to use it on the lintel facing south or southeast to express endless life. Of course, just saying the word "smoked" also means joy and drunkenness. Zhang Ruiqi seems to have a unique opinion and hobby on wine, so the word smoked has a wider meaning.
Suiyuan is the last harvest place today, which is also an unexpected surprise.
Then I took two photos in front of the archway in Zhao Cheng, where the vicissitudes of time are engraved.
After leaving Zhao Cheng, Lao Zhang took us to Di Village. First, we visited Longyan Spring Park. There is no introduction here. There are springs and Longquan Temple, but they are not open. There should be a touching legend about Longan Spring. Literally, it should be that the Dragon King was moved to tears and finally formed a "spring eye". Although the place here is not big, it is a beautiful place with this long-flowing spring.
Leaving here, I came to the highest point of Di Village, where there was a lonely "gatehouse". Geographically, it should be the "gate" of Gudi village, which has the function of observation and defense. Today, only this "Chengmen Building" is still teetering on the highland here, witnessing the changes of Di Village.
History is constantly advancing, and culture is also being passed down endlessly. Many things are drifting away in the long river of history. In retrospect, this may be beneficial.
