There is a beautiful story about the origin of the Eastern Tang Dynasty. Rugao, said to be one of the four childe in the late Ming Dynasty, ventured across the border and fell in love with Dong Xiaowan, one of the eight beauties in Qinhuai. With deep affection, Dong Xiaowan made a crisp candy for his lover, hence the name Dong Tang.
The story of this talented woman is beautiful, but it is a pity that it was told by later generations. If the author says so, someone will definitely retort that it is wrong. This story is recorded in ancient books. As early as the Daoguang period, it was recorded in Chongchuan Lu Zhiwen: "Dong Tang was made by Dong Xiaowan, and Dong Xiaowan was the concubine of the nest catcher. When I didn't return to the nest, I gave this candy from Qinhuai to the nest, so I have been posting Dong sugar since Qin. " It seems that this story does have a nose and eyes, but it is a pity that the author of Daoguang period is an ancient person for today and a descendant for the history of the Eastern Tang Dynasty.
It is Rugao, the earliest place to record the origin of the Eastern Tang Dynasty, which exposes another complete name of the Eastern Tang Dynasty: Qin Youdong Tang. In order to find out the connection between Qin Post and East Tang and Gaoyou, the author of Chongchuan Lu Zhiwen skillfully explained that it was mailed from Qinhuai to Rugao, so it was named Qin Post. He doesn't know that Qin Tie is just another name for Gaoyou. And if "East Tang" is really made by Dong Xiaowan, it won't be labeled as a house with such lame annotations as "Qinhuai Post", because a Qinhuai is both famous and sad for Dong Xiaowan. As a later famous woman, she won't have anything to mention Qinhuai-"I am a chicken in Qinhuai"; Second, in ancient times, unlike today's post office, all personal letters and personal items could be mailed, only for government exchanges between different places. Although they may be able to carry personal belongings, they will not openly admit it with great fanfare.
There is also an ironclad proof that Dong Tang was not made by Dong Xiaowan. After Dong Xiaowan's death, he deeply missed her and wrote a book "Memories of Mei Ying 'an" to recall his unforgettable love story with Dong Xiaowan. The evaluation of the book by later generations is that "celebrities are full of talents and feelings, and there is a sense of sadness between the lines. Although trivial, it is very sincere. " However, such an affectionate and trivial piece of paper forgot Dong Ji's personal preparation of Dong Tang's affectionate story. Memories of Mei Ying 'an also clearly records that Mao Bijiang visited Dong Xiaowan in Qinhuai. "When I went to visit him, I was tired of being frivolous and arrogant, so I went to Jinchang (Suzhou). "Later, the love between Mao Dong mainly happened in Suzhou, and Dong Xiaowan never went back to Qinhuai to be a prostitute. This makes people firmly believe that this story is attached to future generations.
As a matter of fact, the earlier records about the Eastern Tang Dynasty were far before Chongchuan Lu Zhiwen, and its author was more famous. It was written by Kong, a famous playwright and poet in the early Qing Dynasty, "Eating Qin to send gifts, and Chen Heshan, Yan and Yan". Gu recorded the whole poem in the following:
"Skin wine first, duck beauty without right. Passing by Qin Yi, I stopped. Dong Jia's thousand leaves are crisp and hard to lick. I'll have tea with you in the evening, but I know the three match. Overlapping snowflakes are light, and so are flax. Don't wait for the fangs, the tentacles will spin into pieces. Sugarcane juice, sweet or double. Dong Jia was first built, and thieves came from inside. The broadcast was distorted. It can still carry streams. Sit the cup on the thatched roof and chew it emotionally. Qin postal crown cover road, the city is wrong. The river is still raging and the children are in the same boat. You can't make a fire if you cry for food. A hundred dollars of Su Dong is better than a bag of japonica rice. The dregs are sweet and the color is free. "
This poem attempts to spread the subtlety of "Qin Tie" or "Dong", but it also conveys two important messages to us. First, the place where Mr. Kong Renshang eats Dong Tang is Qin You, and this place is also "as beautiful as a duck". Secondly, the producer of Dong Tang is Dong Jia, and its formula "internal theft" was obtained from the palace. There is no need to explain the first message. Qin Tie is undoubtedly Gaoyou today. The second message is even more intriguing. First of all, the producer is Dong Jia, a family, which has formed an industry and can't be a loner named Dong. Secondly, this recipe was stolen from the palace. Well, even if Dong Xiaowan is really Princess Dong, as legend has it, she entered the palace after leaving Qinhuai, and it is even more impossible to mail Dong Tang from Qinhuai to Rugao.
When it comes to Kong, we can't help but mention his play Peach Blossom Fan. Peach Blossom Fan is famous for its rigorous textual research. Kong not only looked for the information of Qinhuai story, but also interviewed the living parties. "It is quite rigorous in reflecting the specific process and even details of historical events." (History of China Literature) If East Tang was written by Dong Xiaowan, he would not be ignorant, nor would he write a poem saying that East Tang was written by Qin Tie Dong Jia.
In fact, Gaoyou people have a simpler view of the origin of the Eastern Tang Dynasty. Lin Dong, a scholar in Yongle period of Ming Dynasty, was made by his filial mother, and the recipe was "stolen" by him in the palace as the editor of Ming Imperial Academy. This is not only proved by Confucius' poems in the early Qing Dynasty, but also by the fact that the Qianlong edition of Gaoyou Zhouzhi took "borrowing Dong Tang" and "naming after Dong" as bets.
Lin Dong wrote Dong Tang, and Mr. Wang Yuqing said that it was recorded in Ming History, but the author failed to find it in Ming History. However, I accidentally found some other information about Lin Dong, which can better prove the authenticity of Lin Dong's story of East Tang Dynasty. Jiao Hong's Yu Tang Yu Cong and Guo Chaoxian Lu Zheng also recorded the story of Lin Dong during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty. The Record of Offering a Country to the DPRK is recorded as follows: "Lin Dong, a German, is from Gaoyou, Yangzhou, and is less sensitive and diligent. In the 16th year of Yongle (14 18), he won the first prize, was listed as a scholar by Li Qi, and was awarded to Hanlin. I asked my mother to beg for food. One day my mother was sick and wanted squid. When there were no squid, I went to Zhenjiang, prayed to God, ordered the fisherman to pull the net, and suddenly got two squid back. It was amazing in the village. Promotion and revision, and revision records. " This record not only proves that Lin Dong was edited by the Imperial Academy, but also participated in the compilation of the emperor's memoirs and had access to ouchi's gourmet recipes. But it also conveys another important message: Lin Dong is very filial, which is consistent with Lin Dong's statement that he stole the formula to develop the Eastern Tang Dynasty because he was filial to his mother.
Lin Dong is not only filial, but also upright. In the eighth year of orthodoxy (1443), Minister Liu Qiu made a statement to the Zheng family, including "too often, Taoist priests should not be used, but scholars should be used". It happened that Lin Dong was anxious about the collapse of the ceremony. Because he was angry about it, he volunteered to become a young lady. Eunuch Wang Zhen framed the two men as accomplices and put them in prison together. Later, Wang Zhen instructed Jin Yiwei to let Ma Shun kill Liu Qiu, and Lin Dong took the risk of "hiding his bloody clothes for several days". After he was released from prison, he told Liu Qiu's family the truth and gave the bloody clothes to the Liu family. Later, the Liu family made a shroud for Liu Qiu with bloody clothes.
Gaoyou Dong Tang was awarded by Nanyang Persuasion Association in Xuantongyuan, and it is a very good brand. Today, Gaoyou's Dongtang outer box is still very traditional and rough, which is not only an advantage, but also shows that the packaging promotion is not in place. Baidu Encyclopedia's "East Tang" entry refers to Rugao specialty, and none of it involves Gaoyou. Even Gaoyou people often use Rugao's statement about the origin of the Eastern Tang Dynasty, or add: it is very pale to say that it was done by Master Dong Shi.
There is nothing wrong with the love story of a gifted scholar and a beautiful woman in Dong Xiaowan, but how did the dutiful son Lin make Dong Tang his mother? These two stories are both beautiful, so let them spread together.
