1. Use the file recovery tool to retrieve files.
If the file has been completely deleted or deleted from the recycle bin, you can use some special file recovery software, such as data frog data recovery experts. This software can restore various file types, such as word documents, pictures, excel documents, videos and so on.
First, install the file recovery tool on the computer, and select the file type and recovery path to recover. After the selection is successful, click "Scan".
Then on the scanning results, preview the name, size and date of the scanned file to see if it is the file you need. Make sure it is the file you want to restore, and click "Restore".
2. Retrieve files from the backup.
If the file was backed up before it was deleted by mistake, you can try to restore it from the backup. After restoring the backup that came with Windows, the operation is as follows:
Click the Start Menu Bar on the computer to open the Control Panel in Settings.
Then, find "System and Security" and click "File History" below;
Finally, if File History is already open, the files you deleted may be in it. If it is not turned on, click the "Enable" option on the right side of the page to turn on the backup function that comes with the computer. The next time you delete a file by mistake, you can retrieve it through the history.
Tips: If your file is accidentally deleted, it is recommended that you do not perform any new file operations on this device, such as continuing to copy and paste files. It's better not to have these again, so the recovery probability of your mistakenly deleted files is high.
