Air Force Aviation University is the only comprehensive military university in China that focuses on training flight talents and adapts to aviation engineering technology.
The former Air Force Changchun Flight Academy, the Seventh Flight Academy and the Second Aviation Academy were merged and established on June 9, 2004. It is a comprehensive military institution of higher learning focusing on training flight talents, a key construction institution of the "2 1 10 Project" and an important source of the main combat effectiveness of the Air Force.
2. Historical evolution of Air Force Aviation University;
In 2004, Air Force Aviation University was established. 1950, Aviation School of Northeast Military Region (Second Flying Brigade) was established. 1950 the aviation school of the northeast military region (the second flight brigade) was upgraded to the seventh aviation school of the people's liberation army.
1976, the Seventh Aviation School of the People's Liberation Army was renamed the Seventh Aviation School of the Air Force. 1986, the Air Force Seventh Aviation School was upgraded to the Air Force Seventh Flying Academy.
