Looking for the story of Suzhou ancients' honesty and self-discipline
According to legend, at the end of the Han Dynasty, Wu Jun was a satrap and lived a clean and honest life. Retired and went home without even a few pieces of luggage. The boat is too light to cross the sea, so I have to press it with a big stone. When I arrived at my hometown in Suzhou, I abandoned the huge stone on the outskirts of Loumen. Because people were moved by his honesty, they called this stone "Shi Lian". Later, someone moved this "Shi Lian" to the gate of the tea garden. In the Qing Dynasty, Shi Lian was moved to a county school (a provincial school) and is still in the backyard of the Confucian Temple, to remind students that scholars should be honest.
