He went there three times, the first two times Zhuge Liang avoided seeing him, and the third time he personally greeted him. In the thatched cottage, he and Liu Bei discussed the current situation, analyzed the situation, and designed a general plan for seizing political power and unifying the world. Liu Bei was greatly impressed, and he was willing to accept Zhuge Liang as his teacher and ask him to come out of the mountain to help him revive the Han Dynasty. Zhuge Liang was deeply moved by Liu Bei's sincerity to "visit the thatched cottage" and agreed to Liu Bei's request to leave Longzhong to show his political ambition.
Since then, Zhuge Liang has become Liu Bei's main counselor, helping Liu Bei to unite with Sun Wu in the east, explore Cao Wei in the north, occupy Jing and Yi States, and establish the Shu-Han regime in the north, thus forming a tripartite confrontation between Soochow and Cao Wei.
After Liu Bei's death, Zhuge Liang inherited Liu Bei's will and continued to send troops to attack Wei. In his recitation to the late Liu Chan, he wrote: "The first emperor didn't think my minister was humble and condescended to drive for nothing. He personally visited me three times back and forth, and also visited my minister in the thatched cottage ... "He thanked Liu Bei.
