There are many historical buildings and cultural heritages in this area, such as Ningbo City Wall and Tianyi Pavilion in Ming Dynasty. Therefore, in order to protect historical and cultural heritage and promote economic development, the Ningbo Municipal Government decided not to demolish the north area of Minglou.
