The second queen: Sun Shi, the queen of Xiao Zhanggong in Ming Xuanzong, the second queen of Zhu Zhanji in Ming Xuanzong, and the daughter of Zhong Sun, the magistrate of Yongcheng County. In the eighth year of Jingtai (1457), Ming Yingzong was restored, and Empress Sun gave the emblem "Empress Dowager Cixi". In September of the sixth year of Tianshun (1462), Queen Sun died. They were all empresses of filial piety, courtesy, kindness, benevolence, Zhuang Lie, Qi Tian and Sheng Yin, and were buried in Jingling.

After Zhu Zhanji acceded to the throne, she wanted to make the imperial concubine Sun Shi the queen, so she deliberately enlightened Hu Huanghou and asked her to resign as queen on the grounds of illness. So she was abolished and made a queen. Hu lived in another palace, but she didn't treat her badly. She went to dinner as usual, and she was ordered to live there at every banquet.
In the third year of Xuande (1428), Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty abolished Hu Huanghou and made Sun Guifei the queen. In the tenth year of Xuande (1435), Emperor Xuanzong of Ming Dynasty died and succeeded to the throne. Empress Sun was honored as the Empress Dowager.
