Pujiang County, Zhejiang Province belongs to Jinhua City.

Pujiang County is a county under the jurisdiction of Jinhua City, Zhejiang Province. It is located in the middle of Zhejiang Province and the north of Jinhua City. The county covers an area of 920 square kilometers, governs 7 towns, 5 townships and 3 streets, and has 244 administrative villages (communities).

Pujiang county has a long history. In the second year of Xingping in the Eastern Han Dynasty (A.D. 195), Puyang County was established in the thirteenth year of Tang Tianbao (A.D. 754), and Puyang was changed to Pujiang in the third year of wuyue Tianbao in the Five Dynasties (A.D. 9 10), with a history of more than 800 years.

Pujiang county humanity

The humanities are profound. Known as "the country of culture", "the hometown of calligraphy and painting" and "the hometown of poetry". Ten thousand years ago, the rice crop named "Shangshan Culture" successfully held a seminar on the 20th anniversary of the discovery of Shangshan Site, which made it clear that Shangshan is the origin of rice cultivation in the world and Shangshan culture is the source of farming village culture in China.

Painted pottery in Shangshan site is the earliest painted pottery in the world. Yuan Longping, the father of hybrid rice, and Yan Wenming, an archaeologist, wrote "Wanshan World Rice Source" and "China Ancient First Village" respectively.
