The Historical Evolution of Pingding Township
Before the founding of the People's Republic of China, there were Ziyun Township in the south and Pingding Township in the north. At the beginning of the People's Republic of China, it was Pingding Township, Qihu Township, Lantian Township, Gongtang Township and Chaoyang Township. 1958 established pingding commune, and 1984 was changed to township. 1997, with an area of 56 square kilometers and a population of 26,000, governs 13 administrative villages such as Pingding, Bashi, Shaxi, Dongnao, Dianshang, Pisces, Hongwan, Liu Jing, Shek Ai, Qianshan, Hongqiao, Lantian and Gongtang.
