Influence of Heyuan earthquake
Xinfengjiang Reservoir, also known as Lvwan Lake, is only 6 kilometers away from Heyuan City. It is the largest artificial lake and water source in South China, integrating irrigation, power generation and flood control. When Xinfengjiang Reservoir 1959 was impounded, seismic activity was recorded. About 7 felt earthquakes were recorded in 1960, 1962 and 20 12, with the highest magnitude of 6. 1.

On August 3, 2065438, at 3: 52/day/day 13: 52, an earthquake of magnitude 4.2 occurred at the junction of Yuancheng District and Dongyuan County (23.8 N, 1 14.7 E) in Heyuan City, with a focal depth of1/kloc-0.

After the earthquake, Guangdong Electric Power Group launched the emergency plan in time, and Xinfengjiang Power Generation Company immediately organized relevant personnel to divide into several groups to conduct a comprehensive inspection of all hydraulic structures and their ancillary facilities, electrical equipment, mechanical equipment, mountains and reservoirs, factories and office buildings, and organized water conservancy professionals to compare and analyze the dam observation data before and after the earthquake.

The results of field inspection and data analysis show that the variation range of dam monitoring data of Xinfengjiang Hydropower Station is within the normal range, and no earthquake has been found to affect the dam and electromechanical equipment of Xinfengjiang Hydropower Station.

Heyuan Power Supply Bureau of Guangdong Power Grid Corporation also quickly launched an action, issued a Class IV emergency warning, and called 195 power supply support personnel to conduct a comprehensive inspection of 500 kV Shangzhai Station, 220 kV Heyuan Station, hot water station, 7 1 10 kV substations and important transmission and distribution lines near the epicenter.

After investigation, Heyuan power grid is operating normally. Heyuan Power Supply Bureau entered a 24-hour emergency duty state, and organized eight professional emergency repair teams with a total of 636 people to stand by at any time to comprehensively strengthen power grid inspections and make every effort to ensure the stability and reliability of Heyuan power supply.
