According to senior sources, Tianjin Datang International Panshan Power Generation Co., Ltd. was originally the second phase of Guohua Pandian Power Plant, so many employees of the original first phase power plant participated in the construction and commissioning process, and was later acquired by Datang. Therefore, although the two power plants do not belong to the same enterprise, they have a good relationship.

Two domestic 600,000 kW coal-fired units were installed in the second phase expansion project of Panshan Power Plant, which was jointly invested by Beijing Datang Power Generation Co., Ltd. and Tianjin Jinneng Investment Company. It is a national key project and the earliest 600MW unit put into production in Beijing-Tianjin-Tangshan Power Grid. The main equipment of the unit, such as steam turbine, generator and boiler equipment, are all produced by domestic manufacturers and are also one of the pilot projects of national industrial development.
