It is recorded in Hanshu Biography of the Western Regions that there was indeed a perfect country in the thirty-six western regions of the Han Dynasty, and the king city of this perfect country was the perfect city. Jingjue Ancient City is located in the lower reaches of Du Zi in Taklimakan Desert, northeast of Kunlun Mountain. According to records, there are 480 households, 3,360 people and 500 soldiers in the city, including elite captains, left and right commanders and translators.
The ghost cave clan in the novel Ghost Blowing Lights refers to the primitive inhabitants of the country, who have their own writing, culture and army. Perfect country, ghost cave clan as the main body, other ethnic groups live together. After the death of the last queen, the country somehow disappeared into the sand sea.
There are two main views on the reasons for the disappearance of the lost country and the ghost cave clan: first, natural disasters. Because the ancient city of Jingjue is located in the desert, and finally due to the destruction of the surrounding environment, it was attacked by sandstorms and could not live, so the local ghost cave clan had to move elsewhere. Second, the war, the ancient country was directly destroyed by the opponent. Of course, whether it was destroyed by natural disasters or war has always been a mystery, and even people have long forgotten the perfect country and the ghost cave family.
Until World War II, an English explorer made an expedition to the Taklimakan Desert, and finally he fled back alone, unconscious, but some photos and diaries in his camera confirmed the existence of this exquisite ancient city.
In short, due to the lack of written records and archaeological discoveries, Guo Jing and the Ghost Cave clan are still a mysterious existence to us. I hope that further archaeological discoveries in the future can reveal the mystery of Guo Jing and the Ghost Cave clan for us.
