First, the history of Leifeng Pagoda
The pagoda was built in the early Northern Song Dynasty during the Wu Yue State, and the Leifeng Pagoda is located in Hangzhou. At that time, Wu Yueguo was in Zhejiang and Shanghai. The last king of this country worshipped Buddhism, so he spent money to build a tower. At that time, the tower was named Huangfei Tower, but later it was called Leifeng Tower because its location was called Leifeng Tower.
Second, the collapse of Leifeng Tower.
When the tower was built, it was made of brick and wood. This structure has experienced a hundred years of wind and rain and was destroyed by war. Since then, it has been seriously aging, but there is still no sign of collapse during that time. Until the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty, Hangzhou was surrounded by many Japanese invaders on the eastern coast. After burning, killing and looting, Leifeng Tower was burned down, and almost all the wooden structures were burned down, leaving only the tower made of bricks. It is very beautiful under the setting sun, so it has become one of the famous scenic spots of the West Lake.
By the end of the Qing Dynasty, it was reported that the bricks in the Leifeng Tower could ward off evil spirits and get rid of diseases, so people began to dig the Leifeng Tower crazily, which led to its complete collapse.
Thirdly, the excavation after the collapse of Leifeng Tower.
People are very sorry about the collapse of this tower. But there was still no one to organize the reconstruction. So this place is in ruins. 1999, the municipal government announced the reconstruction of Leifeng Tower, and in 20 1 1, the underground palace of Leifeng Tower was deeply excavated. When the experts were cleaning up, they found a place covered with stones. After they moved it, they found this mysterious underground palace. This is a very small place, there is nothing big, and there is no particularly valuable treasure.
But I found a small box. At that time, the staff thought it should be the relic's, but when it was opened, it was actually a live white centipede. This incident aroused a lot of people's interest, and some people expressed their opinions at that time. Some people think that the monk Fahai put it in, just to attract people's attention to the white snake. Anyone who has watched TV plays may know that snakes are actually most afraid of centipedes. Of course, there is a story behind. Some experts put this living innocent person in a glass bottle, and then packed it tightly, leaving only a small gap mainly for letting air out.
But at that time, it was found that the centipede was gone, but the flat body was really intact and there was no sign of opening. It's like crossing into other time and space without any trace.
