The Historical Background of West Lake in Hangzhou

Because of sediment deposition, sand mouths gradually formed at the foothills of Wu Shan and Baoshishan in the north and south mountains of the West Lake, and then the two sand mouths gradually moved closer together, and finally became a sandbar, forming an inner lake on the west side of the sandbar, namely the West Lake.
