About Zhejiang University
Zhejiang University, referred to as Zhejiang University for short, is located in Hangzhou, a paradise on earth. Qiushi Academy, formerly known as 1897, is one of the earliest new institutions of higher learning founded by China people themselves. 1928 was renamed as National Zhejiang University. Known as Oriental Cambridge by Joseph Needham, a British historian of science, it ushered in the most glorious period in the century-old history of Zhejiang University.

Zhejiang University is one of the top universities in China. It is the university with the most comprehensive disciplines and the highest student entrepreneurship rate in China. It is the first batch of national key universities of 2 1 1 Project and 985 Project. He is also a member of Nine-Nation University Alliance, Pacific Rim University Alliance, World University Alliance and China University Presidents Association.

The school has seven campuses, namely Zijingang, Yuquan, Xixi, Huajiachi, Zhijiang, Zhoushan and Haining, covering an area of about 6,398 mu and 52 mu, and the library has 6.93 million volumes and 50,000 volumes.
