The Historical Evolution of Yangdachengzi Town
Yangdachengzi Town has a history of 100 years, inhabited by Han, Manchu, Hui and other ethnic groups, and the main ethnic group is Han. According to "Huaide County Records", Yang Dachengzi was developed in the early Qing Dynasty and built in Guangxu, which is one of the earliest developed areas in western Jilin Province. During the war of liberation, it was the seat of the county government of Huaide County. Yang Dachengzi was once the center of Taoism in the central and western parts of Jilin Province. During the Republic of China, the largest Taoist temple in Northeast China was located in Yangchengzi Town, which has been destroyed. Yangdachengzi North Temple is one of the largest Buddhist temples in Siping area.
