A lonely tree, a tree that grows tenaciously with the wind, a tree that stands at the boundary between the sea and the island. At some point last year, a tree in Baishamen Park in Haidian Island suddenly caught fire on social software. In a similar video, a sensational piece of music, with a slightly upturned angle, can't wait to apply the "subtraction" in photography to the extreme, sketching out the vastness of the sea and the sky and depicting the loneliness of white sand.
The direction of trees is determined by the wind, but the shape of islands is shaped by water. Every time I drive across the Century Bridge, I come to an island from a big island, watching the streets of the city, watching the fireworks in the alleys, and watching the youthful smile on the university campus. I can't help thinking that this small island, which is less than 14 square kilometer, can make 200,000 people live and work in peace and contentment here, and really compose a beautiful song of harmony between man and nature.
Looking back on the past life of an island, every beach and every river is a footnote written by history. For Haidian Island, "White Sands" is an unavoidable mark. Whether it is Baishamen, Baisha Village, Baisha River or Baishajin, it has long been forgotten in history.
Where is the specific location of Baisha Gold today? Hainan scholars have different opinions, some say it is in the waters near Liangjiao Port of Xinbu Island, and some say it is between Haidian Island and Xinbu Island. However, no matter where you are, everyone can form a * * * understanding. In the Song Dynasty, Baishajin was already an important foreign trade port in Hainan at that time. Ships came and went, Hainan's agarwood and betel nut were transported from here to the Central Plains, and rice, fighters and cattle in the north were also imported into Qiongdao through here.
For those brilliant memories, people always give them the most legendary color. So is Baishajin. Wang Xiangzhi in the Southern Song Dynasty left us a beautiful legend in Ji Sheng in the Ground: More than 800 years ago, Wang Guangzu, a local official in Hainan, organized manpower to dredge the harbor channel of "the coast buckled, but the ship couldn't pass" many times, but as soon as it was dredged, it was blocked again, and it cost a lot of money, but it didn't work. During the Xichun period of the Southern Song Dynasty, one day, a hurricane suddenly blew, and the rainstorm poured down, and the Nandu River rose rapidly, destroying the blocked port, even better than the newly excavated one. People think this is the result of the gods' response, so they named this port after "Shen Ying". The magical God's response to Hong Kong has become a historical legend for later generations.
But White Sands is not only a beautiful legend, but also a glorious history written by soldiers with blood. There is a monument to the hero crossing the sea in Baishamen Park. On the statue, the heroes looked at the distance resolutely and quietly accepted the respect of every visitor. More than 70 years ago, there was a fierce battle to liberate Hainan. There are few survivors in the PLA team of more than 200 people. Because of the storm, the PLA unexpectedly landed at Baishamen and fought bravely with the Kuomintang reactionaries for two days and two nights until they ran out of ammunition and food. With their own sacrifices, they caused the wrong judgment of the defenders of the Qiongya Kuomintang, which created favorable conditions for strengthening the successful landing and in-depth development of the main force of the regiment.
Where heroes fall, now more and more people live and work in peace and contentment here, and learn and grow here. Heroic spirit, like a tree that does not yield to the wind, is deeply rooted in this island.
Xinbu Island and Simapo Island: Water Oasis Made by Rivers
On the east side of Haidian Island is Xinbu Island, which is surrounded by the sea and has Nandu River. The terrain is flat, the water is clear and the beach is silver, and it has its own tranquility independent of the downtown area not far away. There are many inland rivers on the island because of its low terrain. There is no cover of new buildings, because of the crisscross of rivers and waters on the island, and there is no lack of flavor of Jiangnan water market.
A small island, surrounded by water, was once born of water. According to legend, before the Sui and Tang Dynasties, the Nandu River, which ran down from the middle of Qiongdao, entered the sea at today's Xinbu Island and Haidian Island. Under the game between the sea and the river, the river alluvial formed a beach full of white sand. However, the sediment in Houhai is silted up, and the siltation in the harbor is shallow. Nandu River has been diverted into the sea for many times, and the sediment along the way has formed many beach sandbars. Among them are the embryonic forms of today's walk island and Haidian island.
From Sui and Tang Dynasties to Song Dynasty, these beaches and sandbars gradually became land and islands. The white sand is the exit of Qiongdao to the north, so travelers from south to north pass through here, ships drifting from rivers and seas dock here, and wanderers from afar settle here.
In Song Dynasty, Xinbu Island was called Waisha. According to legend, in the Ming Dynasty, Tujia fishermen from Fujian came across the sea to settle here, and then Xinbu Village gradually formed. Ports mean docks, especially those facing towns. Now that there is a new port, I think some friends will be curious about where the old port is. The so-called old port is the above-mentioned Baishajin or Shenying Port. When Baisha Port was blocked and ships could not get in, "Waisha" gradually became a new wharf for temporary loading of goods. With a new port village, there will be a new port island.
From Xinbu Island to the upper reaches along Nandu River, an oasis in the vast river can attract people's attention before leaving the urban area. This is an independent Jiang Xindao, an emerald of the city. The lush trees and self-care flowers and plants on the island make people admire from a distance, which is a natural unexpected gift. How many streams have gathered in the deep mountains in the middle of Qiongdao, and how much sediment has been brought here after a long and tortuous journey.
In the historical map of the Ming Dynasty, the location of Sima Po has been marked, but the source of Sima Po's name is not recorded in the historical materials. At present, it is recognized that Sima Po evolved from feeding Mapo.
According to legend, Haikou in the Ming Dynasty once set up the military management organization "Haikou Wei", with many military horses. In fact, as early as the Song Dynasty, foreign countries came to Hainan to buy war horses, which shows that Hainan military horses are not uncommon. At that time, Fucheng was still the political center of Qiongdao, and it also needed a post office to deliver official documents. Military horses and post horses need suitable places to feed. "Feed Mapo Island" is a sandbar island formed by natural alluvial silt of Nandu River. The island is rich in aquatic plants and is an ideal place for raising horses. So it became "feeding Mapo".
Many small islands in Dongzhai Port: Disaster and Rebirth
20 1 1, Hainan ocean development company completed the report on island investigation in Haikou city (hereinafter referred to as the report). According to the report, there are 13 islands outside Haidian Island and Xinbu Island in Haikou, including/kloc-0 islands with residents (that is, North Hong Kong Island) and 6,500 islands without residents. Most of these islands are located in Dongzhai Port, hidden in the depths of mangrove forests born in the sea.
Today, many villagers in North Hong Kong Island still remember the super typhoon "rammasun" in 20 14. At that time, the media used words such as "lost island" and "forgotten island" to describe this small island on which they lived. The days when you can only contact the outside world by boat are always shaky.
The change happened last year. After the first bridge of Wenhai Bridge passed through the natural moat, the North Hong Kong Island Interchange Project was opened to traffic on February 4, 20021year. From then on, the villagers in Beigang Village only need to drive for half an hour to Haikou City. Over the past year or so, many people have gone out from the bridge to find better jobs, and many people have stayed to seize the opportunity of rural tourism development.
If you come to the southern tip of Beigang Island and look down from the perspective of unmanned aerial vehicle, you can also see some small islands emerging on the distant sea, such as Caodao, Bushuidun, Luotingpo Island, Zhupaipo Island, Wild Pineapple Island and Xiao Ye Island, which are like green emeralds scattered in the sea of stars, far away and beautiful. On these uninhabited islands, flowers and trees grow freely, with roots and branches connected, intertwined and grotesque. Around the island, mangroves planted by artificial restoration are full of vitality and endless.
The formation or contouring of these islands is mostly related to the disaster more than 400 years ago. On May 28th, the thirty-third year of Wanli in Ming Dynasty (i.e.1midnight in July, 605), the largest earthquake occurred in the northern coast of Qiongzhou, which was called "Qiongbei Earthquake" in history.
At that time, Wu Shu, the official in charge of Qiongzhou Prefecture, wrote in his report to the superior officials: "The ground cracked, water and sand gushed, and the South Lake was three feet deep, and those who lost their fields would never forget it. Diaotang and other capitals (now around Yanfeng Town, Haikou) sank into the sea for several hectares. " According to statistics, at the junction of Qiongshan and Wenchang counties at that time, 72 villages sank into the sea.
According to the book Earthquake Tourism in China, the original area of Luotingpo Island is more than 80 square kilometers, which is much larger than today's North Hong Kong Island. When the villagers were still asleep, disaster came unexpectedly, and Luotingpo Island was swallowed up by wild waves like a boat. Luo Tingpo once lived in Liu, He, Chen, Xiao and Fu. When the earthquake happened, many people drowned, only the survivors of He and Liu fled to other places, and there were no successors for other surnames.
Today, we gaze at Dongzhai Port from the map, and Luotingpo is like a point embedded in the blue ocean. After more than 400 years, the traces of ancient underwater villages can only be reflected when the tide recedes. Looking back on this disaster history, I feel that human beings are born small in the face of force majeure of nature. But when we see that the newly-built bridge has changed the lives of residents in North Hong Kong Island, and that the mangroves planted around Dongzhaigang Island are lush and the waterfowl are flying, who can deny the greatness of human spirit?
What islands are there in Coconut City?
Hainan Island is an island, and Coconut City Haikou also has an island.
In addition to Haidian Island, Xinbu Island, Island Middle Island and North Hong Kong Island,
There are also uninhabited islands: Caodao, Fushuidun, Luotingpo, Zhupaipo, Wild Pineapple and Xiao Ye.
