Basic characteristics of practice
The three basic characteristics of practice are objective materiality, conscious initiative and social historicity.

1, objective importance

It means that practice is not only an activity of spiritual concepts within the scope of consciousness, but also an activity that causes changes in the objective world through the actual interaction between people and the objective world. It is the real process of material, energy and information exchange between man and the world. The direct reality of practice also includes objective materiality, that is, the elements and results that constitute practice are the objective reality of perception.

Step 2 take the initiative

It means that practice is a conscious and purposeful activity of human beings. This tells us that practice is unique to human beings and an active and conscious activity, because Marx believes that animals have no consciousness and cannot work (cannot use labor tools).

3. Social historicity

It means that people always carry out practical activities in certain social relations. The historicity of practice means that people's practical strength is formed and developed historically.

On the one hand, sociality emphasizes that people are members of a big social family, so people's activities are also social, and a person's activities are bound to be influenced by social relations. One person is like this, and so is a country. On the other hand, historicity means that people's practical activities are inherited from history, and human practical experience is always accumulating.

The connection of three characteristics

Adhering to the objectivity of practice does not exclude its initiative. Practice is not a general objective activity, but an objective activity in which people purposefully and consciously move and transform the world. Adhering to the initiative of practice does not exclude the objectivity of practice. People's purposeful and conscious active activities are not arbitrary, but activities governed by objective laws and restricted by objective conditions.

Adhering to the objectivity and initiative of practice is also related to the social history of practice. Practice is restricted by social and historical conditions, which shows that it is an objective activity. The subject of practice is social people, which is different from other animals and can be used to transform the world.

Therefore, we say that the Marxist view of practice embodies the unity of materialism and dialectics, dialectical materialism and historical materialism, which is manifested here.
