Tea History of Fuding Dahao Tea
Fuding Dahao Tea originated in Wengxi Village, Diantou Town, Fuding County, our province, and has been cultivated for more than 1 10 years. 1956, a large number of cuttings were propagated and popularized. The cultivated area in Fuding County has exceeded 30,000 mu, accounting for one third of the cultivated area of this variety in the county. At the same time, it is also widely cultivated in the red and green tea areas of the province. It was also introduced to Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui, Hubei, Sichuan, Jiangxi and other provinces. Fuding Dahao tea belongs to the early bud species, the germination period of spring tea is in the middle and early March, and the one-bud three-Ye Sheng period is in the early April. Strong germination ability, dense germination, plump bud tip, light green color, dense white hair, fast bud tip growth, good tender tip retention, 1 1 stopped growing at first, and the fifth round bud was older. Cutting propagation has strong rooting ability, drought tolerance and cold tolerance. Fuding dahao tea is fast-growing and high-yielding. The output of four-year-old tea can reach more than 230 kg, and the output of five-year-old tea can reach more than 350 kg. Dahao tea is fertile in bud, with fast growth of each bud and large ratio of effective bud to leaf, which is also suitable for mechanized picking. Fuding Dahao tea is rich in polyphenols and nitrogen-containing substances, which is suitable for making good quality red, green and white tea. 1965 was listed as the first batch of improved varieties in China and recommended for planting; 1984 was approved as the first batch of state-level improved tea varieties; 1988 was listed as Huacha No.2 in the Complete Collection of Excellent Tea Varieties in China.
