Fahai, a native of Tang Dynasty, was the son of Pei Xiu, a senior official of Xuanzong of Tang Dynasty. Pei Xiu was born in Pei Village, Jiyuan County in Tang Dynasty. Pei Xiu was born in an official family, and his family believed in Buddhism. Pei Xiu believes in Buddhism and learns from it. According to the Records of Jinshan Temple and other related materials, Fahai is the son of Pei Xiu, whose common name is Pei Toutuo. When he was a teenager, he was sent to Buddhism by his father Pei Xiu and named Fahai. After Fahai became a monk, he led his father to practice in Weishan, Hunan, then went to Lushan, Jiangxi for meditation, and finally went to Shanzexin Temple in Zhenjiang. However, Zexin Temple, built in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, was destroyed and overgrown with weeds. Fahai, 46, knelt in front of the remnant Buddha and vowed to repair the mountain temple. To show his determination, he pointed to a part. Since then, Fahai has lived in caves, cultivated mountains and studied Buddhism. Once, when Fahai was digging a temple, he accidentally dug up a batch of gold coins (sound "one", an ancient unit of weight, 20 taels for one coin), but he was unmoved by money and handed them over to Li Qi, the then Zhenjiang magistrate. Li Qi told the emperor that Tang Xuanzong was deeply moved. He ordered the gold to be sent to Fahai to repair the temple and renamed it Jinshan Temple. Since then, Zexin Temple has been renamed Jinshan Temple. There is still Fahai Cave in Qian Shan Temple, which is said to be the cave where he lived when he built the temple. Fahai is a Taoist priest, and he has never broken up other people's families in history. It is said that Fahai once drove a white python into the Yangtze River, and later created the legend of the white snake.
Fahai and Six Ancestors Tanjing
According to historical records, the monk surnamed Zhang was originally from Qujiang, Guangdong. He was a monk from Zongrui to Xuanzong in the middle of Tang Dynasty. Fahai is one of dozens of disciples of Huineng, the sixth ancestor of Zen Buddhism. It is said that he once met Huineng, the sixth ancestor of Zen Buddhism, at Dafan Temple in Hexi, Shaozhou. He was enlightened by the Buddha's righteousness. Listen to the six ancestors talking about Buddhism, write down their statutes and the reasons for their birth, and record all the speeches of the illiterate six ancestors, and compile the Six Ancestors' Magic Weapon Tanjing, which was later called the Six Ancestors' Tanjing. This book, compiled by Fahai, has become the only classic written by Zen master China himself, which is called "Buddhist Sutra" and spread overseas. Because the Six Ancestors Tanjing carried forward the Mahayana doctrine, it gave full play to the principles of self-nature, restlessness, equality, anti-idol, and light education, and influenced China's cultural thought since the middle Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties. As a disciple of the sixth ancestor of Zen Buddhism, Fahai once presided over the Jinshan Temple in Zhenjiang. He practiced Buddhism, detached and refined, followed the right path, and eliminated right and wrong. This has nothing to do with love and hate in the world of mortals. I didn't expect to "scold and leave the play before sitting in the Buddha's seat." This is a "masterpiece" created by Zhang Guan Dai Li, a knife catcher in the Song and Yuan Dynasties. He made it up and attached it far-fetched, which is another matter with the monk Fahai, who really existed in history. Nowadays, in the "Reading Cave" outside Jinshan Temple in Zhenjiang City, there is a tall, kind and wise statue of Fahai, which has always been admired by many tourists.
Fahai, a Taoist, once appeared in TV series, novel The Legend of the White Snake, The Legend of the New White Snake and the movie The Green Snake.
In the film, Fahai, the abbot of Jinshan Temple, has extremely powerful magic power to save people in the world in the spirit of exorcism.
However, Fahai's thought is conservative after all. He mistakenly believes that all goblins should surrender to the Buddha for cultivation. In this way, he also separated the loving couple Xu Xian from the white snake. After a great battle in Jinshan, the white snake (Mrs. White Snake) was finally subdued and settled down at the foot of Jinshan Temple. Many years later, Xu Shilin, the son of White Snake, saved his mother with filial piety. Fahai should be ashamed to hide in a crab, just as Lu Xun commented in On the Collapse of Leifeng Pagoda: What a suck!
2. Bachelor of Qing Dynasty
(167 1- 1737), Tong Jiashi, a native of Dao 'an, was born in Zhenghuang Banner, Manchuria. He is the second son of Uncle Kangxi Tong Guogang. In the thirty-third year of Kangxi (1694), at the age of twenty-three, he changed to Jishi Shu and ordered to go to the south study. In 1944, he transferred to a bachelor's degree in lectures. An official of the Minister of War. He is the author of "Regret Weng Ji". Song Xin Ri Lu: Tao An Shangshu said, "I claimed to be an early courtier, but I didn't know Shentang was dressed." The goodness of national law and diligence in political affairs are actually more eternal, while the three generations of Bilong recite the poem Shangshu, which is beneficial to make people think about their jobs and dare not cherish the idea of banquet.
Tong family was once called Tong in Kangxi period, Tong Guogang was Kangxi's uncle, and his brother Tong Guowei was Kangxi's father-in-law. Therefore, the Tong family used the glory of the royal family to enter the official position, but it was different. His life experience is quite special, and he was born in Tong Guogang's humble maid-in-waiting. Growing up, fathers don't think about their sons, brothers don't think about their brothers, and brothers don't think about their brothers. In addition, after his mother died in Fahai, Allen Dai was forbidden to enter the ancestral grave, so he and Allen Dai became enemies. Therefore, Fahai was discriminated against by his father and brother since he was a child, and grew up in a depressed environment, which had a certain influence on his temperament and character. Fahai doesn't have the spirit of idleness of ordinary noble sons, but studies hard. At the age of 24, he was admitted to Jinshi. Attention, he was admitted to Jinshi. Visible he is different from the general royal family, he is very knowledgeable, at least in this respect than his father and Allen generation. When Emperor Kangxi saw that his cousin was admitted to Jinshi, it was really great. Of course, this was a matter of giving himself a long face, so he chose his little cousin who had just won the first place as a ci minister. In thirty-seven years, he was chosen as the master of the prince. The specific responsibility is to teach students in grades 13 and 14. You know, Fahai was only 28 years old, Huang Hong was 13 years old, and Yin Zhen was 1 1 year old. What a young prince teacher. Kangxi, on the other hand, attached great importance to choosing teachers for his son. What are the other teachers of the prince, such as Zhang Ying, Guba, Xu, etc? A famous scholar, much older than Fahai. Fahai was only a scholar for four years, and took on this important task before he was born. Not only during the reign of Kangxi, but also as the teacher of the youngest prince in the whole Qing Dynasty, he became one of the celebrities living in Confucianism. Many people say that Kangxi is most inclined to his mother's family, so it is understandable to give his cousin such a title. However, Fahai's status soared during the reign of Kangxi, not only because he was Kangxi's cousin. That is also true talent and learning. Imagine how handsome, majestic and versatile people are after the 13th and 14th, which is inseparable from their master of enlightenment. When the prince was abolished, Fahain XIII was reduced to review. It was not until 1954 that Fahai was reinstated. It is said that scholars such as Xu and others have put in a lot of good words for him. It can be seen that people who can be appreciated and recommended by these scholars must be extremely arrogant. In 55, Fahai was promoted to Governor of Guangdong and Guangxi, and served for two years, with considerable achievements.
Fahai was governor of Guangdong and Guangxi for two years. Midtown is the abbreviation of Cheng in imperial history. Used as another name for the governor in Ming and Qing Dynasties. In the Ming Dynasty, the position of the deputy capital of Duchayuan was equivalent to the achievement in the imperial history, and it was often called the title of governor, so it was called this.
