The origin of Ningbo beach spring
About 1880 (Guangxu period), Fenghua Chuanke artist Wu Shi invited a group of artists to form a Chuanke class, and performed in Shanghai Teahouse for the first time, renamed it "Ningbo Tanquan". Later, several groups of performers went to Shanghai Teahouse, Eight Immortals Bridge, Hengya and other small theaters to perform. In order to meet the requirements of the audience and seek their own development, great improvements have been made in repertoire, music, performance, makeup, scenery and props. And expand the performance organization, to the direction of the big theater. In the early years of the Republic of China, some actresses began to perform on stage. In this way, the troupe stepped into drama from the original form of Quyi. 1938, when Tanquan in Ningbo performed a fashion and civilized drama, it was renamed Yong Opera.
