After the founding of People's Republic of China (PRC), chao yang shan was divided into two towns, Chaoyang and Yang Di. 1957, the two townships merged into Chao Xiang Yang, and then Chaoyang People's Commune was established, belonging to Shuitou District of Pingyang County. After 1984, it was restored to the ocean. The resident of the people's government was originally in Shantou; 1990 moved to the damper partition. 1992 After withdrawing from the district, expanding the town and merging into the township, it became a single-row township in Pingyang County.
