The Historical Evolution of Wuding County
Wuding belonged to Dian during the Warring States and Qin Dynasties.

In the second year of Yuanfeng in the Western Han Dynasty (BC 109), it belonged to Yizhou County.

In the third year of Jian Xing in Shu Han Dynasty (225), Yizhou County was changed to Jianning County.

In the sixth year of Taishi in the Western Jin Dynasty (270), it belonged to Jianning County, Ningzhou.

During the Southern and Northern Dynasties, it belonged to Jinning County and Jianning County.

The Sui Dynasty was under the jurisdiction of Zhou Kun and was the general manager of Nanning.

The early Tang Dynasty belonged to Nanning Prefecture. In the sixth year of Tang Zhenguan (632), it belonged to the Dudufu of Rongzhou.

Wuding was not established before the Song Dynasty. From 1 174, Wu Luo tribe, the ancestor of Yi people, gradually rose and ruled. During his stay in Dali, Yunnan Province, the Wuluo Department expanded its power and territory, and the thirty-seventh Wuluo Department of Dongcong Wuman once occupied the dominant position.

In the fourth year of Yuan Xianzong (AD 1255), the Wu Luo tribe that ruled Wuding and Luquan surrendered to the Yuan Dynasty. In a.d. 1257, it was awarded to Wan Huhou, Wu Luo, and administered Luquan, Yuanmou, Wuding and part of Sichuan Huili. Yuan Xianzong for seven years (1257) was a residence of ten thousand households in Wu Luo. In A.D. 127 1 year, the jurisdiction of Wuluo Department was extended to Pu 'an area in western Guizhou, and it was renamed Beilu and Zongguanfu. 1276, Wuding Road was established, ruled by Wu Luo Li Shifeng Tusi.

In the fifteenth year of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty (1382), it was the military and civilian residence of Wuding. After the mid-Ming Dynasty, the imperial court gradually changed the land to the local government, and dispatched troops, and the red man of the Feng family confronted it, which became a national event in the late Ming Dynasty and entered the Ming history. 1567, the Ming court officially sent personnel to set up Wuding House. 1770, Wuding House was reduced to Wuding Zhili Prefecture, which governed Yuanmou and Luquan counties. In the fourth year of Qin Long (1570), the land was changed to Wuding House.

In the thirty-fifth year of Qing Qianlong (1770), Zhili Prefecture, Wuding.

In the second year of the Republic of China (19 12), Wuding Prefecture was established, and 19 13, Wuding County was established.

After the founding of People's Republic of China (PRC), 1950 established Wuding Special Zone; 1953, Wuding area merged with Chuxiong area to become Chuxiong area; 1958, Chuxiong area was changed to Wei Chu, and Wuding County was under the jurisdiction of Wei Chu.
