Historical Development of Jingshan Tea
According to historical records, Jingshan began to plant tea trees in the Tang Dynasty. After Jingshan Temple and Jingshan Tea became famous in Tang Dynasty, Cha Sheng Lu Yu (733~804) came here and lived in seclusion at the foot of Shuangxi General Mountain. He planted tea, made tea and studied tea here, and wrote a masterpiece handed down from generation to generation-Tea Classic. The "Jingshan Tea Banquet" in Jingshan Temple in Song Dynasty and the "Hakka" in Fusang, Du Dong, spread to Japan and evolved into today's "Japanese Tea Ceremony". Jingshan is known as "the place where Cha Sheng wrote scriptures and the source of Japanese tea ceremony". After the Qing Dynasty, with the destruction of Jingshan Temple, Jingshan Tea gradually declined and was forgotten.

1978, with the support of Zhejiang Provincial Department of Agriculture and other relevant departments, Yuhang Agricultural Bureau began to develop camellia, which was a great success. It has successively won the honors of high-quality agricultural products from the Ministry of Agriculture, famous cultural tea from China and famous tea from Zhejiang.
