Content introduction:
As an important member in the history of Europe and even the world, Germany's history is fascinating. How did she get rid of the identity of "barbarian" and step onto the stage of civilized world? How to fall into the dream of inheriting the Roman Empire and ruling the world? How did she get rid of the burden of theocracy and establish a powerful nation-state in the power struggle of governors? And why did such a country with strong national strength and prosperous culture go to the abyss of external expansion and Nazi dictatorship? After two world wars, how did this country reposition itself as Germany in Europe and embrace the world again?
This book takes "How Germans Find Their Place between Nationalism and Cosmopolitanism" as the core topic, clearly outlines the development track of the German nation and country, and provides readers with a bird's-eye view of German history with rich maps and illustrations, original historical materials, memorabilia and further reading bibliography.
