Needless to say, Li Bai's poem, when I am awake, one day I will ride the wind and waves, raise my muddy sails and bridge the deep sea; What are Li Baike's bells and drums, delicacies and treasures when he is drunk? Let me get drunk forever and never be rational! . As the saying goes, "When you put pen to paper, you will be shocked by the wind and rain, and the poet will make the gods cry." The word "poet" is enough to explain everything.
But I'm afraid most people may not know about Li Bai's martial arts.
In the Tang Dynasty, Li Bai had two identities, one was a poet and the other was a swordsman. There is a saying in the Book of the New Tang Dynasty: "(Li Bai) likes vertical and horizontal cooperation and fencing, but for Ren Xia, he doesn't pay much attention to wealth." When Li Bai was ten years old, he liked fencing and dreamed of becoming a charitable and respected swordsman. According to the epitaph written by Pei Jing to Li Bai, Li Bai studied swordsmanship with Pei Xian, the first swordsman in the Tang Dynasty, at the age of 15, and followed him for several years.
Pei Xian was a famous "Sword Master" in the Tang Dynasty. At that time, Li Bai's poems, Zhang Xu's cursive script and Pei Min's sword dance were called "Three Musts" in the Tang Dynasty. "Strange Tales from a Lonely Studio" has a cloud: "(Pei County) threw a sword into the cloud, dozens of feet high. If lightning strikes, people will be surprised if they hold the hand of the sheath and the sword goes through the air. " This shows that Pei Min's swordsmanship is superb. And Li Bai can learn fencing with him. Anyway, fencing won't be too bad.
For his own swordsmanship, a "chivalrous man" expresses Li Bai's pride. "Kill one person in ten steps and stay a thousand miles" is Li Bai's confidence in his swordsmanship. In addition, Li Bai once boasted that "fifteen good swordsmanship made him a vassal of the world", saying that he had beaten invincible hands all over the world at the age of fifteen. In the eyes of outsiders, this sentence is really that some old ladies sell melons to brag, which is really untrue. Maybe this is what Li baijiu said. Of course, from Li Bai's boasting, we can see that Li Bai is quite confident in swordsmanship and thinks that he is one of the top swordsmen in the Tang Dynasty.
So, is Li Bai's fencing really as high as he thought? Now some people say that "Li Bai is second in fencing and superior in martial arts". Is this a fact?
Li Bai's fencing is really superb compared with ordinary people. Compared with the weak scholar, Li Bai can be described as "different in culture and military". In his early years, he studied under Pei Xian, the first swordsman of the Tang Dynasty, and after returning from his studies, he "fought his sword to serve the country, bid farewell to his loved ones, and traveled far away". In this way, Li Bai traveled all over the Tang Dynasty alone. On the way, relying on his own fencing, he was very unhappy. When he met with injustice, he immediately drew his sword to help. He once took a sword to the market. Li Bai's swordsmanship is naturally more and more exquisite, far surpassing others. After studying under a famous teacher and staying abroad for several years.
Li Bai once traveled with his good friend Wu Guide. Going to the countryside of Hunan, Wu Guide suddenly died, and Li Bai lay in bed crying. At this moment, a tiger suddenly rushed out. If Li Bai starts running at this time, Wu Zhidao's body will be eaten by the tiger. In order to avoid hurting his friend's health, Li Bai drew his sword and forced the tiger to go back. A sword can repel tigers, which shows that Li Bai's swordsmanship is detached.
Of course, it is also a compliment to say that Li Bai's swordsmanship is second in Datang. Jiannan Dongchuan's swordsmanship, such as Shi Gui Gao Shi and Shigu Chen Ziang, is far above Li Bai. Some people say that if Li Bai dares to travel around the Tang Dynasty alone, his swordsmanship must be very powerful, but this does not prove Li Bai's swordsmanship. At that time, Du Fu, a weak scholar, fought alone in the troubled times of An Shi Rebellion. He crossed the battlefield twice, north to Shuofang Town and west to Fengxiang House. If it is true, isn't Du Fu's martial arts more powerful than Li Bai's?
It is true that Li Bai has martial arts. Without martial arts, there would be no such heroism. Who has ever seen such weak poets as Luo, Meng Haoran, Li He and Liu Yuxi write such poems with Jianghu flavor? However, although Li Bai has fencing, fencing has not yet reached the second place in the Tang Dynasty. Li Bai's swordsmanship belongs to the top group of literati at best, but among martial artists, his swordsmanship is far from top.
Looking around Li Bai's life, I can't see him being driven out of the city by Turks and heading north, nor can I see him wielding a sword and entering Sike Tubo, Sichuan. A literati swordsman who has never experienced a life-and-death battle will never be better at fencing than a warrior who fights to the death on the battlefield.
Wulin experts always wander between life and death. If they don't have a thorough understanding of life and death, even the best martial arts will only be an armchair strategist.
