In order to relieve people's pain, Shennong tasted all the plants he saw, watched the changes of these plants in his stomach, and judged which ones were non-toxic and which ones were toxic. When he tasted the tender leaves of an evergreen tree with white flowers, he washed them everywhere from top to bottom, from bottom to top, as if checking the contents of his stomach, so he called them "tea". Later, people called it "tea". Shennong has been climbing mountains and wading for many years, trying a hundred herbs, and he is poisoned several times a day, all by tea. But for the last time, Shennong was poisoned by poisonous weeds before he had time to eat tea. It is said that at that time, he saw a kind of grass with yellow flowers, and the calyx was moving one by one. Curious, he put the leaves in his mouth and chewed them slowly. After a while, he found his stomach hard to love. Before he had time to have tea, his stomachs broke one by one. It turned out that he was poisoned by Lysimachia christinae. In order to respect and commemorate the achievements of the inventors of agriculture and medicine, later generations told such a story of Shennong tasting a hundred herbs.
2. The legend of Lu Yu's fried tea
Li Yu, the emperor of the Tang Dynasty, likes to taste tea, and there are often some people who are good at tasting tea in the palace. Finally, he was found on Tianyi Mountain in Tiaoxi, Xing Wu County, and was called into the palace. The emperor saw that Lu Yu was ugly and stuttered a little, but he was very happy to see that he was knowledgeable and had an extraordinary speech. Immediately ordered him to make tea. Lu Yu immediately carefully fried the purple bamboo shoot tea collected in front of Tomb-Sweeping Day and presented it to the emperor. Sure enough, the tea is fresh and mellow, and the clear soup is green, which is really different. The emperor hurriedly ordered him to fry another bowl and let the ladies-in-waiting send it to the study to give it to Jigong. Jigong took the tea bowl, took a sip, applauded the tea and swallowed it in one gulp. After he put down the tea bowl, he went out of the study and shouted, "Where is Gradually?" The emperor quickly asked, "How did you know that Lu Yu was coming?" Jigong replied, "Only he can fry the tea I just drank. Of course, he came to the palace. "
3. Qianlong Yufeng Longjing Tea
West Lake in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, surrounded by mountains on three sides, is as beautiful as jade. In the southwest of the West Lake, there is a Longjing village, surrounded by beautiful peaks and clouds, which is a famous Longjing tea producing area.
According to legend, one year, Emperor Qing Qianlong went down to the south of the Yangtze River and came to rest at the Gong Hu Temple under the Lion Peak near Longjing Village. Monks in the temple serve local famous tea. Ganlong is good at tea ceremony. When he saw the tea, he couldn't help being surprised. I saw pieces of tender tea in the white jade porcelain bowl, which looked like a sparrow tongue, dark green and fragrant in the green liquid. He took a sip, only to feel the fragrance on his cheeks, unspeakable fragrance. So Qianlong summoned the monk and asked, "What's the name of this tea? Where is it made? " The monk replied, "tell your majesty that this is Longjing tea produced in a small temple." On the spur of the moment, Qianlong walked out of the temple gate, only to see Gong Hu's front hall green as dye, eighteen tea trees sprouting, green and low, and the surrounding mountains rolling like lions. At this time, the dragon was happy. The tea name Longjing and the mountain name Lion Peak all seem to indicate his brilliant achievements, and 18 is an auspicious number. And tea is really pleasing to the eye, sweet and refreshing, so Qianlong named the 18 tea tree in front of Gong Hu Temple as "Imperial Tea" on the spot. Since then, Longjing Tea has gained great fame.
