Jia Hu bone flute was unearthed at Jiahu site in China, 7800~9000 years ago. It is the earliest musical instrument in China and the earliest musical instrument in the world.
During the period of 1986- 1987, more than 20 exquisite bone flutes were unearthed in Jiahu site, including 5-hole bone flutes, 6-hole bone flutes, 7-hole bone flutes and 8-hole bone flutes.
Jia Hu bone flute can not only play traditional five-tone or seven-tone music, but also play ethnic minority or foreign music with changeable tones.

Jia Hu bone flutes have been found in several tombs, and they are placed very close to the tomb owner, some on the waist, some on the hands and some on the head, which shows that they are very important to the tomb owner.
From 1986 to 1987, experts unearthed more than 20 bone flutes, of which the length was more than 20 cm and the length was shorter than 10 cm, and the number of flutes varied from 5 to 7.
