The name of Taiziwan originated in the Southern Song Dynasty. At that time, it was a repulse bay in the south corner of the West Lake. In Song Dynasty, where Wen Zhuang and Jing Xian buried their bones, "Wan Hu" got its name.

Taiziwan Park was built in July 1988 and basically completed in July 1989. The earliest wedding park in Hangzhou has such projects as "Faithfulness" and "Better than Qi Fei". This used to be a dump for dredging silt in the West Lake. When the garden is built, the pond is dug skillfully to make the terrain undulating and orderly, and the personality of "nature and simplicity" is pursued.
