The so-called African-American history refers to African-Americans. The history of their arrival in the United States is usually told from colonial times. Modern times include slavery in Africa, civil war, black civil rights movement and all kinds of racial discrimination against blacks from ancient times to the present, as well as many famous historical figures related to African descent, such as Martin Lincoln. This major should be regarded as a branch of history and humanities in social science.
